I think this is a good value for the money. My experience with it hasn’t been 100% perfect but still great overall.Things I didn’t like –It has a container where you add the ingredients and fit it into the bread maker. Do not let it soak in water. I did for a few hours, and it was already beginning to oxidize on the outer part. I was able to mostly get that off with a cloth, but from now on, I only get it wet while washing then immediately dry.In the owner’s manual, it indicates beeping while it’s still in process is a bad thing. However, every single cycle I run it beeps 5 times. For example, in the basic bread cycle, 45 minutes into it, it will beep 5 times then move on. What I’ve learned from using this, beeping at one time in the process is normal, just check the LED display to make sure it’s not getting an error. The recipe book may need edits. The basic bread recipe is completely awesome. You can make a great basic loaf of bread following the directions. The cake recipe is awful. All the recipes (except for the cake one) will tell you how many cups of flour. The cake recipe calls for 8.8 oz. of flour, 6 eggs, 8 tbsp sugar, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp flavoring essence, 1.3 tsp lemon juice, and 1 tsp yeast. I made the cake today. Just eyeballing that, the ratio of eggs to flour didn’t look right. Since it didn’t use cups, as in the other recipes, it threw me off a bit. I Googled it though and realized 8.8 oz. of flour is actually 1.92 cups of flour. I rounded it off to 2 cups. It still had too many eggs. It tasted like an egg cake and also wasn’t sweet enough. The machine baked it well but I think it’s just a bad recipe. I’m going to try using it for cake again, but definitely not their recipe.I’m still happy with this bread maker. I have started baking all my own bread. I work 40 hrs. a week and if I tried to do that by scratch, I would never keep up with it. This is easy, you just put the ingredients in and you’re done – just take it out in about 3 hrs.I haven’t tried the built in yogurt and jam maker that comes with it, so I can’t speak to that. But overall, I’m very happy I bought this machine and I wish I had gotten one sooner.

Edit: I returned the original maker for a replacement (though not received credit yet) and fired up the new bread maker. It worked as it was supposed to with the same recipe as in the past with a slightly reduced yeast measurement. All good for the moment.I fired up the bread maker with a recipe that I’ve used in the past with a mixer. The dough had over-risen but the bread still turned out pretty good. I reduced the amount of yeast the second time and still the dough has risen too much. Still no biggie. Attempted another loaf with the same recipe with reduced yeast, no rising at all. Hmm, attempted another with larger amounts of yeast taking the amount back up to the same amount as in the first bake. Dough does not rise. Not sure if there should be some sort of heating going on to help the dough rise that no longer works or what. Kind of confused.I’m tempted to return it and try again but I no longer have the box.

I used a Panasonic bread machine for 20yrs until it died. Purchased a new Panasonic & returned due to poor quality. Bought this one and am growing accustomed to it’s quirks. It doesn’t have a separate yeast compartment so you have to be careful when adding ingredients. Has a ton of settings that I will never use & I prefer the recipe from Panasonic so I am using it instead of the ones that were provided. Not perfect, but for the price, satisfactory.

I bought this machine to replace my 25 year old bread machine that stopped baking years ago and was only used for making pizza dough. I used my pizza dough recipe rather than the one included with the machine and it came out OK. It deflated immediately upon opening the lid, but once the dough was out of the machine and left to sit, covered, the yeast worked fine and it was a nice, easily spreadable dough. If at some point I decide to try one of their recipes and bake break, I’ll add to this review.

The recipes are definitely written by someone not familiar with the USA measurements. On page 8 it says 17.3oz. (490g) is the maximum capacity of flour. I converted it to cups which we use in the USA and I get 2 1/3 cups but some recipes have 3 cups needed. Yeast is supposed to be 0.2oz. or 6 g. In the USA we measure by tablespoon, teaspoon, 1/2 teaspoon, or 1/4 teaspoon. I think it was 2 tsp. The very first recipe on page 10 has water amount as 9.5 fl.oz./280 mi. My measurements are a cup divided by marks for 3/4cup,1/2 cup,1/3cup, 1/4cup. It is very hard to try these recipes when you have to convert the measurements. I do like how easy it is to remove the pan and paddle. I also like that is it lighter weight than the other two bread makers I had before.

This is my first bread machine, which I use 1-2 times a week to make 1.5 lb loaves. So far I’m thrilled with it.Pros-Its an easy setup-Kneads, proofs, and bakes the bread-Has multiple styles, sizes and toasting preferencesCons-The include recipes suck (get a bread machine cookbook instead)-It’s loud when kneading-The paddle at the bottom of the machine something gets baked into the bread

The instructions in the manual are not great regarding the recipes. BUT if you are an experienced baker and can follow YOUR OWN ingredient measurements and such you will LOVE this machine. IT works Fabulously well once you know how to place the ingredients in the tub. The settings are good and reliable. The time is accurate. Overall NOT a wise choice for a beginner but a WONDERFUL choice for an experienced baker.

This machine works great for me. I read the reviews where folks are blaming the machine for not getting the bread to rise. I have no issue with this and believe these folks are using bad yeast. I prefer to use the machine to mix the dough then bake the bread in the oven but when I did bake the bread in the machin is came out good. GOOGLE THE KING ARTHUR BREAD MACHINE RECIPE!!! I use King Arthur flour with SAF yeast and my bread comes out great!
