I bought a cheap toaster. I got what I paid for.The box it came in was a really cheap cardboard box. It was dented a lot and had cheap packing tape wrapped all around it, like not a professional packaged it. One side without flaps had “amazon prime” packaging box tape on it, like a stamp for an Amazon delivery driver. I thought I got a used toaster until I opened it up. The insides were new and had new packaging I’d expect.I read the instructions about running the toaster empty and glad I did.I took it to a well ventilated space, stood 15 feet away and it smelled SO NASTY – chemical burning smells. I ran the toaster about 10 times before I trusted it with bread. Over half a day of pushing the toaster down then giving it a cool down. The photo is my first run with toast, frozen bread slices. One side was burnt the other was defrosted but not toasted. So I’m guessing the left toaster slot isnt working. I ran an English muffin through after on regular and it wasn’t warm enough for butter to melt. And the left side seems undercooked too.I’ll give it another week or so and see if I am going to return it. I don’t think I’d request a replacement because that off initial off gassing smell made me really wonder if it’s healthy to cook food in….

This is the third toaster in as many months no matter the price or brand the inside elements are all made of the same inferior metals and are not very resilient. (years ago they were different). This was $15 it seems to be working okay who knows for how long but at least the price and longevity seem to be in line. If this quits before 6 months I may have to consider a toaster ovens instead.

It don’t matter how much I spend on a toaster. My wife ruins them. When she loses the cigarette lighter, she turns to using the toaster to light her cigarettes. The elements burn out everywhere she touches the cigarette to it. So, I just keep buying them. Toasters and lighters. When the toaster arrived I told her, “your new lighter is here” my 8 year old busted out laughing. This toaster looks like it is about the same as a toaster I spent 3 times as much on, a few months ago. I would recommend this toaster?…..lighter…. oh the temp control works,

I got this at a sale price, it was a good value at that price. It performed better than our last toaster, which looked fancier and was all stainless steel (and started sparking inside from some kind of short). When the control is placed exactly on the halfway mark, it makes perfect toast. It is mostly plastic, and looks a bit cheap, but since I’ve found the lifespan of any toaster in our house is about 4 years, I’d rather replace something that didn’t cost much than a more elegant looking thing that basically has identical innards. The dot on the control knob is not bright enough or big enough to see in a dim room without my reading glasses on. Legibility is important, and it fails here, being a very tiny dim dot that I can’t seen. One of the kids rotated the knob from the perfect center position to a higher level and I burnt some toast because I didn’t see that it had been changed. I’m going to have to get some nail polish and paint a bigger line or dot that I can actually see.Other than that minor problem, it gives very evenly toasted toast and does it in a reasonable amount of time. I don’t know about longevity since we’ve only been using it a few days. No industrial design awards, no beauty contest awards, but if all you want to do is toast two slices at a time, it is adequate.

I was skeptical when it arrived because they didnβt send it in itβs original box. However, it looked brand new and untouched so I kept it.It feels like a feather, it toasts really well. It toasts bagels, which is a must in our home.It even has a frozen button for when you forget to defrost the bread (we freeze our bread when we have to).Interestingly, it has an on/off button ?ββοΈThereβs your usual temp control, which is really the timer button 1-6 any more your bread will burn ?I donβt understand why there are $200 toasters out there when a nice $15 one will do the job. This one honestly does fine.

I have tried several toasters over the past 5 years and none ever seem to toast coRrectly. Well I recently stayed at a timeshare that had this toaster and we couldnβt believe how well it toasted everything. As soon as we got home we ordered one. It wasnβt a fluke, this toaster works! Even has a frozen button so you can take stuff from the freezer to the toaster and it comes out great.

Wasnβt planning on buying a new toaster because I have too many things on the counter and I donβt like clutter. Used my air fryer for a while because I love the air fryer. It broke so I decided that there are too many times that I need to toast bread, bagels, etc. so I bought this basic toaster. It looks nice and works perfectly!

Mine toasts a little hotter on inside coil side. I burnt a couple slices on one side of the toast. I’ve since figured out to watch it a little closer. Considering the price, I’m willing to let it slide
