After years of half hearted failed baking attempts, I finally got on the stick due to a health issue and really started experimenting with baking gf/vegan, corn free , low sugar and oil delicacies.I’ve been getting better and better ( thanks to my fabulous friends and husband who have been my long suffering food tasters) and finally after 3 years, I felt I was far enough along in my baking journey to treat myself to a real mixer. This mixer is awesome! It’s super easy to mix my bread doughs and cake batters, my baked goods rise up even better than before and I am absolutely chuffed with the results! It’s nice and compact and doesn’t take up a bunch of space on my counter either.I’m a novice baker who has never used a mixer so obviously I’m no expert when it comes to mixers, but my super difficult to bake goods are turning out beautifully so I have no complaints. The only thing that was slightly off putting was that the dough hook and beater were covered in a super shiny silver paint that did not look the safest. It was flaky and I didn’t want that possibly toxic paint to flake off into my mixes so I actually washed it in the dishwasher although it says not to.I included a pic of the dough hook after it went through the wash. The paint came off leaving them dull but perhaps more sanitary??and when I mixed up a batch of bread, nothing flaked off into my dough.I don’t use this mixer to mix my wet ingredients with my dry ingredients for my cakes but I do use the whisk feature to mix the dry ingredients together.Gf/vegan cakes are very delicate and whisking or beating the wet and dry ingredients together will overwork the batter and leave it denser than it would be if you simply folded the wet ingredients into the dry ones with a spatula.I do use the beater and dough hook for my breads and I mix the wet and dry ingredients together as gf/vegan bread dough is a lot more forgiving and you really have to work it to get all the ingredients fully integrated if you want a light fluffy loaf.I posted a picture of the most recent loaf I made with this mixer so you can see the results. I do also use a special pan to get it that nice, but the texture on the inside is juuust a bit more springy after using the mixer than when I have done a loaf using just my elbow grease to mix it up.I prove my bread doughs twice for a total of an hour and a half to two hours , to compensate for the beating the dough hook gives it.As a novice gluten free, dairy free, practically everything but taste free baker, I found this little gadget to be super helpful and a real timesaver.I’d definitely give this a try if you want to treat yourself without spending a bunch of money!**** UPDATE ****Ok so this mixer is even better than I first wrote.I was even able to FINALLY make aquafaba meringue with this stand mixer!I have tried using elbow grease and a fork, an electric hand mixer, AND a hand whisk and all I’ve ever gotten was a soupy bean juicy mess. This has happened for YEARS ?Not anymore though!I included pics of my triumph because it is GLORIOUS ??????It’s just 2 cans of white bean juice, a tsp of cream of tartar, 1/2 cup of powdered sugar( I use LAKANTO) and a tsp of vanilla.Start slow, whipping only the juice then whip at the highest setting for those stiff peaks you want to see in a regular merengue and add the rest of the ingredients. In the pictures I have mine stored in a little tub to make s’mores doughnuts later on today, so you can’t see how stiff the peaks are, but trust me, it’s almost exactly like real meringue, you can even torch the top.I had to share just in case any of my fellow vegan adventures have also tried this mythical bean juice merengue and had it fail. This mixer is magic and you can totally make aquafaba meringue with it!?

I cannot compare it to a KitchenAid, as I’ve never had one. That being said, this thing has not struggled with anything my wife or I have thrown at it so far.People talk about the weight of the KitchenAid helping to stabilize it during use, but I feel like that’s not necessary with the suction cups this thing has on the bottom. Moving it can feel like you’re trying to pry an octopus off the counter sometimes lol. That’s not to say this thing is light by any stretch. It doesn’t feel cheap, it just doesn’t feel like it’s made of solid cast iron like everyone says about the KitchenAid.Good power, speed, and easy clean up. Quiet, for what it is. You will have to fold in the edges of the bowl for a complete mix, especially on some thicker stuff but I feel like that is standard and not a huge deal.

I didn’t want to pay 3x the price for a kitchenaid mixer. This one is pretty perfect. It fits right under my cabinets and doesn’t take too much counter space. Easy to use instructions. It comes with 3 attachments and bowl cover. My bowl cover was cracked though. And Amazon doesn’t send replacements but they gave me a credit to buy another one.The attachments don’t reach to the bottom of the bowl, so you have to be aware to periodically stop and scrape the bottom to get all your ingredients mixed. Also, I wish there was a little more space to pour ingredients in while mixing.Really good mixer though. I would but it again.

I don’t do many product reviews. I wanted to take the time to post a review to say: Don’t pass this up!I ordered a different brand that rhymes with band aid, directly from the company. I still have not received it. Yet, it ‘was’ shipped days ago. Customer service is not helpful (they actually tell you they can’t do anything about it.) Their customer service is awful and I was even unable to reach the repair service. Save yourself a headache.I was skeptical of an ‘off brand’ but what else is there? I am so glad I got this. I made 4 batches of cookies so far and NEVER had to scrape the bowl. The splatter guard is awesome. I thought it would be cheap plastic, but it actually is quite durable. I can’t see why it won’t last. It’s easy to change beaters, easy to clean. I can’t wait to make bread!

I like that it is light weight and that the suction cups keep it from moving, even on the highest speed. I’m also very pleased at how easy it is to clean.
