Pros of this product:1) super easy to use, only took me 2x to get a superior cup of coffee and that was only because I was learning how to achieve the correct coarseness of the beans and water temp. But this maker is so easy, takes less than 5 minutes, follow the instructions and it is full proof2) affordable and toxic free coffee maker with no yucky chemical’s pouring into your coffee. Also no electronics that can just break on you(reason #2 is why I bought this product in the first place)3) takes up minimal space on your counter4) Comes with a reusable coffee filter which is not only cost effective but environmentally friendly and also isn’t toxicCons:1) does not keep the coffee warm(I am a busy mom of two kids so this doesn’t bother me, I just throw it in my warming mug and it is fine) but if you are a hot coffee snob you will not like this2) small coffee maker. The 20 ounce is perfect for me because I am the only one in my house who drinks coffee but if more of my family drank it, it might be kind of a pain and when I have guests I have to make more that doesn’t exactly stay warmThe cons were why it got a 4/5, but overall for me, I love this coffee maker, it makes the smoothest, most delicious cup of coffee I have ever had, it is easy to store and clean, toxic free and won’t have mechanics that just break on me that require replacing. Plus they say they have a lifetime warranty if the glass breaks.I love this maker and it is my coffee maker for life! Highly recommend. I also found it worked great with my tea kettle and electric stovetop so I didn’t need to buy anything additional

Really like this pour over coffee maker. Love the handle and the silicone base is great. I like that the base is removable. The filter moves the coffee through quickly and the taste of the coffee is quite nice. I use a paper filter as well, so I don’t know how easily the stainless steel filter cleans. I do like it so much I ordered another one. Seems to be dishwasher safe. I’ve only had mine a couple days so if it doesn’t doesn’t crack or the handle doesn’t break off…this is a gem of a coffee maker…especially for the price.

I don’t normally post reviews, but I had to write this one. I had been reading about the dangers of BPA and other chemicals in plastic – I don’t drink out of plastic bottles or anything like that anyway – but as I was reading I got up to get another cup of coffee and suddenly realized I drink coffee from a plastic coffee maker every day!! Yikes!! I started researching other options and found this simple little Bean Envy “coffee maker” and decided it was worth the price to try it. Ok, admittedly it’s a bit more involved to have to heat the water in a kettle and then stand there pouring it through the filter (but not so difficult – I drink tea all day too). What I did not expect is HOW ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS it make my coffee taste!!! The taste is so smooth and there is no edge to it at all. I didn’t even realize there was a bitter edge to my every day coffee until I started making it this way. I liked it so much, I convinced my husband to try it and now he’s hooked too. If I had one complaint, really more of a puzzle, it’s – if you like drinking several cups in the morning, how do you keep the coffee in the glass pot warm? Making cups as we go for my husband and I has solved this problem, but it would be nice to have some sort of a warming pad or something like that. Still, for the price, I heartily recommend you just try it. No joke, when you drink coffee every day, it does make a mini-huge impact on your life! 🙂

I ordered 2, one for cold brew coffee and one for cold brew tea. Definitely need to use a coarse grind, works ok with my loose leaf tea, like a said it could be better. Luckily i had a filter from my mason jar set up that is slim enough to fit it. Aesthetically they’re very nice looking, I love the silicone bottom piece, let’s me allow my husband to touch it (haha) they fit in my French door refrigerator nicely on the door as well as inside. Also fairly easy to clean, it is glass you do need to use some care cleaning it. If the filter was better it would get 5 stars.

The Bean Envy Cold Brew Coffee Maker has an attractive design with a handled glass carafe and a snug, removable silicone base. It’s just too small to be practical. Also, I’m not sure the tubular metal filter allows sufficient water access to all of the coffee grounds. The two batches I made were weak despite my obsessive adherence to instructions. It might work better with tea leaves.

I’ve bought two of these, on separate occasions. They feel well made, and the filter works pretty well. It’s not the easiest to clean, but definitely manageable. The company also stands by their products with lifetime warranties. I’ve had a french press replaced by them without issue when a piece broke off. I had the choice between a couple different pour overs, and went with Bean Envy because I know and trust their products and service. All around great buy!

So far I’ve only had time to make one batch of delicious mocha java using 60g/liter ratio, and that was superb. I’ve always been a Chemex fan, and this is that with a handle and the need for paper filters optional.Excellent quality construction, too.

I’ve used it 3 times since I purchased and every cup has been good, have not found and grinds in the bottom of the carafe so the filter is very fine. The glass is light so I’m not sure of it’s durability, but obviously treat any glass item with care and it should last.
