OK. My son wins. This is fabulous. We’ve had this for a while now & we all use it for poached/hard boiled eggs. I was pretty skeptical that we would have another gadget to sit around & never get used, but our family eat quite a few eggs. They all gather around & run off with them, when I cooked them (boiling water in the pot), but would never make them themselves. Now they do. Even my husband tried some this weekend. It’s pretty much idiot-proof. Plug it in, add eggs, add water, set & wait. Same as with the pot. I give it a quick wash/rinse in the sink & it’s ready for the next user. It’s small & really doesn’t take up much space, which is good because it has yet to move away from the toaster. The size is great for one or two people. Extras are great for a quick egg salad or in salads. I have to say, I’d buy this again knowing what I know now about them.

We were steaming eggs in a metal pot with a metal steamer. Then we upgraded to a silicone steamer. Then we found this cooker and what a difference! Better hard cooked eggs, dramatically easier and faster cooking process and clean-up is a breeze. We use distilled water only so there is no mineral buildup. Be forewarned that the poaching/omelet accessories work poorly but that’s easily overlooked since we use a pan for those functions. It cranks out great hard cooked eggs almost weekly here with little effort. Highly recommended.

I hate making boiled eggs on the stove but Mom said hers was great and they were easy to peel. So I got one, they are very easy to use, easy peel eggs and nicely cooked (no green). I love the color as well. Instructions are easy to follow.I have made everything from the full 7 eggs down to just a few.

cut the time by more than half to make HB eggs v. a standard steamer. Because this needs only an ounce or so of water. And they provide an ingenious pin to prick the eggs so they don’t crack while steaming.

This works really wellโฆbut. If you let the eggs cook and walk away, the auto-shutoff turns off. But the auto-shutoff is based on a temp sensor and the heat will turn back on and off. This causes the eggs to over cook. So i out a thirty minute timer on it. Problem solved. They could have simply turned the unit off, but choose a cheaper solution.

This was exactly what I needed to make deviled eggs. Quick and easy! Definitely worth it and the price was good.

It does work and I do like it for hard boiled eggs, because you turn it on and in 17-20 min you have hard boiled eggs. The problem I have with it is the size… It works great with 7 smaller eggs, up to medium size. But the extra large eggs my chickens produce, I could only add 3 to it. Clean up was really easy, and use distilled water if possible. Overall it does what it claims, and works well. A big positive is that the eggs were easier to peel then the standard boiling water method.

This is amazing, now I donโt have to check the stove every 5 minutes. Put the amount of water in you would want eggs to cook on (I like mine slightly running) and it will turn off once done *perfecto*
