   I gave this coffee warmer as a gift to my mom for Christmas. She didn’t end up being a huge fan of it just because she didn’t really want a coffee warmer apparently, but I ended up using it for a while before I left. It works fine, it’s definitely better to keep drinks warm then to warm them up from cold. I wouldn’t say it kept my coffee/tea piping hot unless there was less than half a cup of liquid left, but it definitely kept it warm-to-hot. Personally, I think that’s kind of a good thing since ideally your coffee should be piping hot when you put it on the warmer to begin with, and if a person is consistently drinking from the mug, it should keep it at about the right temperature. The hot plate does not get hot enough to burn your hand unless you hold your hand on it for 8+ seconds (in which case, that’s your fault). There’s no way to injure yourself by just knocking into it a little bit or touching it while grabbing your cup. The weight thing is great, it turns off when you lift up your cup and stays on as long as there’s a mug on there. The click is audible. If it doesn’t automatically go on when your cup is almost empty or is empty, press down slightly and it will stay on as long as there’s some weight to hold it there. Overall good product

   I’ve had previous coffee warmers that don’t seem to keep the mug very warm which means repeated trips to the microwave to reheat the cup. I saw the words “Beverage Boil” in the description and decided to order. This warmer is hot and there will be no problems heating your coffee regardless of the mug type. It really works!!

   I have had a couple of other mug warmers previously, and they were useless. This one actually keeps your hot beverage very hot, for as long as you want it to. It’s also a nice looking design, blends in well with any decor, and is easy to use. I would suggest that when you first switch it on and place a mug of a warm beverage on it, that you put it on the hot setting for two or three minutes, and then switch it to the warm setting. No need to keep it on “hot”. The only drawbacks I found are: 1) the electrical cord is rather short, so I simply added a short, 8″ extension cord to it; 2) there is a USB port in one side of the device, for plugging in whatever. This should be a nice convenience, but the port is actually not compatible with any normal USB cord, so it’s useless. However, overall, I am very pleased with this device, and I think the price is reasonable.

   Very easy to use, just plug in and you’re done. The auto start when you place a full cup on it and auto shutoff when you lift the cup or when your cup is empty and you use this as a coaster is priceless. No more having to microwave it 3 times a day. I used the cup provided and my own and both work fine.
