The fryer works well. It takes quite a while to heat up the oil. But it does a good job. The timer function is 100% useless. If you don’t turn the timer on it won’t heat up your oil. There has been many times I plugged it in, set the temp and walked away to come back to cold oil. You basically just have to max the timer out every time you use the fryer. I would be a lot happier with the fryer if it just straight out didn’t have the timer function. It clearly was not thought through. When I 1st got it it took me a while to figure out why my oil wasn’t heating up. I thought it was broken. Nope just the stupid timer.

This deep fryer is good. We went from a chef Wolfgang puck deep fryer that was completely enclosed and amazing to this fryer. My husband is the deep fryer in the family and his chief complaint was the front of the deep fryer(towards the gauges) was deeper than the back of the deep fryer(closer to you; the user). He does love how deep the basket is and how much we are able to fry in one setting. Wings, shrimp, catfish, and French fries are no task with this fryer. The gauges definitely do their job and work very well. The basket is easy to clean and overall the whole system is very easy to clean vs what we were used to. If you are a big deep fryer and love frying for your family this fryer is for you. You will actually to be able to fry and eat!

It came with a dent on it bc it was not in a shipping box so it was dropped in front of my door with everybdy to see what I ordered and the holding tray is flemsy not sturdy. But overall it cooks good and fast lil hard to clean.

Overall, it’s nice. Be very careful, the lid itself is extremely shark along the edges. Thank goodness it has a handle. But when cleaning, be careful. The size is perfecxt.

It’s a good fryer, a large one for a great price.The thing that needs mentioning are the edges of the lid. They are extremely sharp, but it’s an easy fix. Using cut-proof gloves and some medium grit emery cloth, it’s an easy job to sand the edges down to a smooth and non-cutting edge. That’s the only reason for 4/5 stars. I like having the 1 gallon (4.5 quarts) capacity because recovery to the frying temperature after immersing the food is much quicker. I’d recommend this fryer because of the cost to capacity value. It’s truly a great buy.
