I previously had one like this I purchased from Pampered Chef and a much higher price. It was rechargeable, but died completely after ONE re-charge. My friend’s did the same thing. This time, I decided to go with a battery operated device, so naturally, if you put top grade batteries in it, it will have the most power and the charge will last longer. I have severe arthritis in my thumb joints from a car wreck and nearly any strain on them causes sharp pain. This wine opener is GREAT! and it comes at a GREAT price. I bought one for my friends birthday since her Pampered Chef opener died too. She loves it!
