I wish the build quality felt a little better, but other than that it is pretty great.Setting it up so easy because Alexa does it all for you. You open the Alexa app, click to add device, choose slow cooker, choose crock pot brand, and then scan the little barcode on the back of the cooker. Alexa does the rest and connects it to your wifi within a few seconds.I washed and dried it, set it up, tossed my roast and veggies in and told Alexa to turn it on to high. She asked for how long and I said 6 hours… that was that.Couldnt be any easier. This crock pot has a nice large ceramic pot. Easy to clean. I do use non stick spray on it but the glossy finish makes it easy to clean up as is.Cooks like it should. Has cord storage in the back.Aluminum front does get hot, so be careful with that.Lid has small hole for steam to escape so you get less moisture building up and adding into your food.Nice large size and dishwasher safe.I love being able to adjust heat settings and turn it off/on no matter where I am. No more asking someone else to do it and they “forgot.” It’s a great basic, yet very efficient smart appliance.

So first of all, five stars because it works well, exactly as described…But. The “but” is that this is not just “Alexa enabled”, but “Alexa Mandatory” – at least to achieve even basic functionality other cookers have out of the box.The backstory is that I’m a life-long slow cooker user. And slow cooker eater when I was too young to be a user. I’m also firmly embedded in the Alexa-sphere, with Echo Dots and Fire TV cubes scattered all over my house, Alexa app on all our phones, and even Alexa in my truck. So when need arose to purchase a new slow cooker I thought some Alexa connectivity would be useful. And it is.However, rather than simply being Alexa augmented, even basic functionality is Alexa required. For example, here’s what you can do WITHOUT Alexa: Turn it on. Set the heat for High, Low, Warm. That’s it. (No timer or any other settings) And Here’s what you see looking at the cooker, without using Alexa: Whether it’s on or off. Whether it’s connected to wifi. And if the heat setting is High, Low, Warm. (Not how much time is left, or any other information)So in the process of adding Alexa to the mix, they decided to remove normal functionality. I didn’t expect that.Perhaps I could have paid more attention to the description or reviews, but I didn’t. So I figured I’d post this review in warning to anyone else that may think this is a normal crockpot, just with Alexa added. It isn’t. If for any reason you don’t wish, or can’t use Alexa with this cooker, you will be sorely hindered and inconvenienced.

I bought this Crock Pot Slow Cooker for a Christmas gift. I found out that the recipient already had two, so I decided to keep it for myself. I bought it because it works with Alexa. The packaging was great. Easy to open , well protected. The size is 6 quarts, which is what my other one was. The problem I had was trying to hook it up to Alexa. I followed the instructions several times, but I couldnβt get it to work with Alexa. It would heat up and the light would come on , but that was it. I called the support number for help. He was great, very patient with me. He told me that it had to be on a 2.4 GHz system. My system was a 16-5G or a 16. He said I needed to be on the 16, but I didnβt have a clue as how to do that. After a few more attempts, I told the support man that I would get my son to come over and see if he knew anything about it. I still havenβt had it hooked up. I have not cooked anything in it yet. Iβm still trying to figure out how to get 2.4 GHz! I will update this review after I have actually used it.

Ok, I had almost given up getting it to connect, but make sure your wifi signal is on 2.4 ghz range and not 5 ghz. Also there is a tiny button on the right side of the front panel that i pressed along with the blinking button whilst plugging it in that may have reset something and allowed it to connect after fumbling around a few more button presses. It must be back to blinking orange and green when it is to connect. Now i will be looking forward to bossing this baby into making me some food! Alexa get in there and make me some roast beast!

I am gonna lot of hours A-day so this makes it so I can turn my crock pot on from a different location so that my foot is not saggy by the time I get home so I can turn it on let’s say at noon instead of 8 AM when I leave and then it’s ready by 6 when we get home it is the most amazing advention

I received this as a gift for Christmas 2021 and was never able to get it to connect. No matter what I did it would not connect to Alexa and I was so frustrated. It’s a decent crockpot in its own, but I specifically wanted it for the wifi. Finally read a review that mentioned a little reset button on the right side of the front panel, and voila! I know have a connected crockpot. I have posted a picture to make it easier to find if you’re having trouble like I did. Looking forward to using my crockpot more often now.
