Spent 30 minutes unpacking and getting familiar with the unit, then did some basic cleaning of the inside. Followed the instructions and 60 minutes later we had a nice serving of really good white rice to go with the teriyaki chicken. We will tweak our recipe to get the rice just the way we like it, but for the first attempt it came out great! Might even get me to like brown rice if it’s cooked this well. We retired to a rural area that does not have any good teriyaki (my go-to comfort food), so we are learning to make it ourselves, and this Cuckoo rice cooker makes it that much easier. Great product, easy to use and appears to be well-designed and constructed!

Overall a solid rice cooker with more options than some of the old school one-button basic Tiger brand rice cookers. Although the rice turn out isn’t as consistent even with the finger method and usually that rarely fails.

This is an excellent rice cooker, especially the “quick cook” option which makes the pot of rice in a much shorter time, even as quickly as 30 minutes – most other rice cookers routinely require 60 minutes to cook a pot of rice regardless of the number of cups of rice. I gave this a 4 star review only because of one problem – the rice cooker slides to easily on counter surfaces. This is our second purchase because our first slid off of the counter when we bumped it while wiping down the counter with a cloth. It hit the ground and the silver colored latch that holds the lid in place when closed popped off and bent. We were able to continue to use it for another few months but over time, the lid sat more and more open and last week it popped open while cooking so we finally gave up and purchased a new one. I tried looking for replacement latches online but none are available. For the new one, I added these adhesive rubber pads to the bottom and the rice cooker does not budge when bumped. Enjoy!

We can adjust the finished texture and consistency of different rices we use for our meals. Easy to use and easy to clean. We use Cuckoo daily and never disappointed with the finished product.

Avery easy to use. Pretty easy to clean. The only negative is when you raise the lid after cooking, the water condensation runs out all over the counter. There is a tiny plastic thing that is supposed to capture it, but it doesn’t always work. Other than that, I’m pleased with it.
