The product name says compact which might indicate to some that the toaster is not just a two slice toaster but something more. It’s just a two slice toaster. Same size as my other two slice. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars. You can store it like the second photo shows and that way it’s more “compact “ but the cord bunches up.As far as performance, I use a refrigerated bread and with my other toaster I had to defrost first then continue to toast it several times to get it to a medium color. With this toaster I use a 3 setting and it’s perfect. Use the color guide because it’s very helpful. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this item because it was a recognizable name and it was inexpensive (less than unknown brands in certain discount retail stores).I figured what the hey, all need is something to toast bagels. I was very pleasantly surprised.Temperature control is easy and actually represents something that works as advertised.It really is easy to clean. It has a nifty slide out drawer that catches the crumbs.Bottom line is that I would recommend this product.

This is a nice lightweight toaster made pretty well and I like the fact that the slots are wider for bagels or English muffins. But it has very dark on one side and not on the other so I’m stopping in the middle and flipping the pieces over. Otherwise, not an issue. I’m keeping it because it wasn’t very expensive.

As others have stated it toasts unevenly. It toasts quickly. It is two times larger in size than my other toaster from 2008, so note that if storage is a concern. I enjoy the speed of toastiness.

I like the look and ease of the toaster, but the slots are short. If you like bakery bread, it will be too long for the slots. It also doesn’t toast evenly, one side comes out very much different than the other.

Had to send the first one back as it burned the toast. The second one we ordered works well. Only complaint is that you can push it down without bread in it. Dangerous if grandchildren are around and want to try it.

I have a breville smart oven (which I love!) Hated heating it up for one slice of toast. (It does an amazing job!) So I bought this little toaster. I’ve put bread in both sides so it doesn’t matter which side you use, on level #2. One side toast light & the other side dark. I’m fine with it but think both sides should be the same? If you buy this, start with level #2 or you will have burnt toast! It works for me but don’t expect your toast to be the same on both sides!

Have toasted sliced bread & English muffins. Easy to use; just need to find your preferred level of “toastiness.” Amazed at how evenly the muffins toasted. Like these features: cancel button, high lift lever. Haven’t tried the others. Would advise depressing lever with steady moderate pressure & speed. Lever won’t survive slamming. Only 2 cons so far: strong “appliance smell” w/ initial use & one side does not toast nearly as well as other 3. Hope it lasts!
