So because of some mixed reviews, I debated over a week on if I wanted to buy this. I kept all packaging and my amazon receipt for 3 weeks while I tested this out. I don’t understand why some have issues…this ice cream maker is amazing.First off let me start by explaining why I was in the market for an ice cream maker, specifically a soft serve one. I have multiple food allergies. The top ones in ice cream would be eggs, chocolate, and wheat. I have searched and searched grocery stores for an ice cream I can safely eat and only found 2 (both vanilla flavors) that are free of all my allergens. I’ve called several ice cream stores that have soft serve, and none were safe for me. It got old fast eating just plain vanilla. So I started researching ways to make my own ice cream. I can make hard ice cream using my hand mixer, and I love soft serve, so I stumbled across this maker.Due to many saying about difficulties getting it to make ice cream right, clean, etc I was nervous. When it arrived (about 3 weeks ago), I washed up all parts, froze my bowls in my chest freezer and read the booklet to pass time. The next day I pulled out 1 freezer container and just made the vanilla recipe in the book to hold me over until I had other ingredients. Well, it made ice cream well, but too hard because I forgot about it and remembered about 45-60 minutes later. That made me wonder why people couldn’t get their Ice cream hard enough.Since that day, I have successfully made several batches of various flavors. It comes out to be the perfect consistency every time. It takes about 25 minutes for me. I leave my bowls in my chest freezer (my fridge freezer is small and packed to the max with dinners and stuff I prep ahead of time as I have a busy week with work and school). They are in there for at least 24 hours before I use them. And they work like a charm every time. I don’t care for mix ins, so I havent used that part. I don’t think I ever will.Cleaning isn’t that hard. I don’t even have a dish washer, I do all my dishes by hand. I immediately remove everything. I scrape the rest of the ice cream into a container and put in my freezer. I place all the machine parts needing washing in my sink and let the excess ice cream melt off. Then I soak them in warm soapy water, quick wipe with a soapy rag, rinse, and allow to air dry. If you allow the freezer bowl to warm to room temp and soak in warm soapy water, really no scrubbing is needed. Once the bowl is good and dry, I place it back in the freezer. I purchased large zip lock freezer bags to keep them in. I double bag them for good measure. As far as cleaning the unit itself, I just wipe with a damp rag if ice cream spilled.I love this so much I brought it 7 hours to my parents for them to try it out and they ordered one too (in white though, my dad wasn’t a pink person). And it’s a huge plus that this comes in pink (and was $10 cheaper when I purchased than white) as my kitchen theme is pink. It is even the same shade of pink as my kitchen aid stuff.I am so glad I decided to go with the good reviews and order me one of these. I’m ecstatic I can have flavored ice cream again. And I was confident in this enough, today the boxes went to my cardboard dumpster.

We purchased this for family fun, and it has not disappointed. The recipes included are good.. It does take some advance preparation as you have to freeze the bowl for at least 12 hours.

Super fun – only complaint is it doesn’t completely empty leaves ice cream in bottom of container must scoop out last bits

Used the icecream maker several times and does work. There is a narrow time window from when it is not thick enough to when it is too thick to come out the dispenser. The amount it makes is a bit on the smaller side so that it is generally enough for 6-8 people depending on how much they get. Just that you basically have to serve it all about the same time. That is the bigger problem with the setup overall. Cleans pretty easy overall. Have had to look at replacement sprinkles holders. They are a bit fragile and dropped two of them and they basically shattered the plastic.

This makes a perfect amount of ice cream, some leftovers, but not like the old machines. It has a lot of bells and whistles that my grandkids find amazing, such as the sprinkle container and the place to hold cones. I feel these are a waste of space, make it a much bulkier machine and without them could have been much more compact. That being said, my three grandchildren believe these are the best parts and since I really got it for them I’m glad they’re there. I did find that the higher the fat content of the milk, the better it dispenses, so low fat did not flow as easily. 20 minutes and you have ice cream. Pros far outweigh the cons.

Very fun! Makes really great tasting ice cream. The dispenser doesn’t really work that well due to even small items getting clogged and will only work while dispensing. But it is a hit. Ice cream done in about 30 minutes

Great package. Fun to use but very hard to clean inside. Good for one to two people serving.

I love soft server so when I saw this I had to try it out. Its pretty easy to use, Just put the mixing container in the freezer after its completely frozen you can use it. It does freeze the mix but it doesn’t get cold enough for my liking. Its hard to describe, its like eating warm soft server but still cold enough to not be melted. The topping part is pretty neat and works okay. Some times depending on your toppings not very much comes out. It does make enough for about 3-5 people depending on your serving size. The price was okay for the machine, now having it though not sure if I would pay that much for it again.
