I am super pleased with this waffle making machine. I spent a lot of time looking at a variety of waffle makers. I wanted to get one for my husband as he sometimes wants waffles. I am not usually a fan of waffles, but I found that I do like Belgian style. So, when I began looking for a waffle maker for him, I made sure it could make the thicker Belgian style that I like. There are so many waffle makers out there and the reviews are all over the place. I went from thinking I could get something for less than $20 to taking a peek at the offerings in the hundreds. I looked so hard and so long that I was considering giving up. At some point in my mission, I found this Cuisinart waffle maker. I have always liked this brand, and I was kinda keen on the features such as:Removable platesUse beyond making waffles, additional plates (swap out two waffle plates for a flat and a flat/round for eggs, sausage patties, sandwiches)Belgian waffle style plates with deep crevicesThe product description video helped me to see how it works, which influenced my ultimate buying decision.Basically its a breakfast station! My primary interest was waffle making, so even the lure of added functionality didn’t completely sell me at first. I continued to read all the reviews- again, all mixed like every other out there- and abandoned this for awhile to continue my search.I circled back around to this because, once again, I have been pleased with anything I have by Cuisinart. I liked the overall look of this, and that it appeared to be easy to store. I also decided I liked the additional plates, and I liked that there is no need to do any flipping or rotating of the machine. It cost more ($72) than I originally set out for, but everything about this unit- if it worked- seemed to be worth it. We love “breakfast” anytime, so i knew it would be used not only for waffles but for pancakes, eggs, and sausage patties. In addition, I started looking at recipes that go beyond breakfast foods that use a waffle maker, and this size and style seemed conducive to trying out all sorts of neat recipes. SOLD!Now, as to how it did.1st– how the waffles turn out is greatly determined by the cook. My husband makes perfect Belgium waffles each and every time. ME? they turn out.. ok. I am so glad I wasn’t the only one to test this out, as I would have thought that the machine was at fault. NOPE- me. I swear I do all the things he does, but every single time his turn out better. EVEN SO, mine still look good.It has a few heat settings, just take a look at the manual for additional guidance. I don’t think they take long to make. We made several in short time. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Waffles were evenly cooked, and always just turn out well. We use Krusteaz brand Belgian Waffle mix every time- not sure if that makes a difference or not.The plates pop out for easy washing, if need be (I usually just wipe with a damp cloth). I can store the unit in an upright position or resting flat. It doesn’t take up much room in my cupboard, which is great. Compact- just a square. Nothing sticking out, making it weird. If you like appliances on your counter, this is pleasant to look at.Usually when we do waffles, we aren’t doing pancakes. Usually when I do pancakes, I am used to using another style of pan, BUT, this is really nice as it heats up quickly, doesn’t stick, and is just fun to use one unit. The round section is for batter, eggs, etc, then the top flat portion presses down. It is still being used primarily for waffles, but I am very pleased with this waffle maker. Especially when my husband makes waffles. The more we use the more I am pleased with this purchase. 5 stars at this time. If I learn anything new- good or bad- I will be back to update.

My parents have an old waffle maker that they have had for like 50 years and it still works great and makes great waffles. I have been waiting to find such a gem of a waffle maker ever since I got my first one at my wedding (2003) and none of them have stood the test of time. I recently threw out my last old waffle maker and bought this one, and I feel like I have finally found my forever waffle maker!I won’t bore you to death with details because it’s a pretty simple machine, but suffice it to say that it heats up fast, is idiot proof to use, quickly makes the perfect waffle for any preference of ‘doneness’ and is super easy to clean. I also find that the size and shape is EXACTLY what I was looking for to make my daily healthy breakfast waffle for one! Want the recipe? See below! All of these details are great, but when you find the perfect waffle maker, you just know it when you taste your creation and this is just absolute REPEATABLE waffle perfection for me. Every. Single. Time. Period. If you’re still looking for your forever waffle maker, I urge you to give this one a try. It’s worth the extra money over other options. TRUST!My Healthy Waffle for One Recipe1/3 C organic sprouted spelt flour (I will also use oat flour but you can sub the flour of your choice)1/3 C Two Good Vanilla Greek Yogurt (I like this brand because of the low sugar content)1/8 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp vanilla2 cage free eggs (or equivalent of egg whites)1/8 tsp ground cinnamon~2 TBS granulated monkfruit to taste*My favorite add in is 1 tsp of my go to super greens powder which I also buy on Amazon called Power Shot. It turns the waffles green but I find I can’t taste it in the waffles at all!My favorite way to eat them is to turn these 4 squares into two waffle ‘sandwiches’ which I can eat on the go on my way to work. I slather two of them with lite sour cream and the other two with the healthiest yummiest jam ever from Nature’s Hollow called Health Smart, and put them together for two delicious and filling sour cream and jam green waffles sandwiches that keep me full for hours and is only 400 calories for the entire thing, greens powder, sour cream and jam included! If you track macros in my fitness pal like I do, the split on this recipe with sour cream and jam included is 14g fat 44g net carbs 27g protein.I sincerely hope this review (and recipe!) has been helpful to someone else! And yes, I paid FULL PRICE for this waffle maker. Feel free to ask any questions!

This is definitely better option than hamilton beach breakfast sandwich maker. I know this wasn’t what it wasn’t intended for, but it turns out this is very versatile and works great at making the breakfast sandwich and likely better at it than the hamilton beach breakfast sandwich maker because of how you would cook egg in it. On this you just dump everything at same time, take the bread out and butter it half way, flip the egg and sausage pattie, put cheese on your bread and once ready put egg and pattie from grill to top of bread holding tge cheese.I have been looking for both breakfast sandwich maker and possibly a waffle maker though I don’t eat waffles often. By spending just a bit more I ended up with this amazing versatile appliance that can do waffles, pancakes, breakfast sandwich, and some small itens. Bacon obviously is too big so I will have to precut it into halves next time.I was willing to take a chance and it paid out for me. Absolutely amazing.
