I rent a small space without a kitchen, so this hotpot is my primary cooking appliance. Itβs surprisingly lightweight, considering its size (14β inches in diameter), so itβs very portable, and I plan to do some cooking with it out on the deck in the summer. Itβs ideal for cooking large meals for parties or for meal prepping. I picked this over a hot plate/skillet/pot combo because I only have to worry about storing one thing and because itβs attractive enough to store in plain sight. All my stuff is a light aqua/mint color, so it fits right in.The non-stick cooking surface is fairly thin, so I would recommend using the soft-variety silicone cooking utensils to avoid surface scratches that were mentioned by other reviewers. It comes with a plug-in control knob.It heats up quickly, but not evenly. The heating element is circular, rather than coiled, and because of this, it will always be hotter directly above the heating element than it is at the center, sides, or at the spot furthest from the control knob (visible in picture w/ boiling water). This has been something Iβve needed to be conscious of when cooking eggs or pancakes, but it doesnβt really matter if youβre cooking something that needs stirring. The main thing I would change is that the βlowβ setting is still quite hot, certainly hot enough to cause oil to splatter if youβre cooking meat. You can put the lid on to avoid the splatter, but it only makes it hotter inside the pan. Youβll definitely want to cook everything on low until you get used to the temperature settings. Iβve only ever used the high setting for boiling water. As far as cleaning, itβs fairly easyβjust wipe it out with a paper towel. It is NOT meant to be submerged in water, despite what I saw a few people say in the Q&A section. One gripe is that the lid has a removable silicone outer ring that oil and water gets trapped in during the cooking process, so that requires removal during cleaning. All that said, Iβm really happy with this hotpot, and Iβm thankful for it everyday.

Great skillet. Hard to achieve an exact temperature because it is hard to see the markings. The rubber gasket came off and I cannot get it back on. Before it popped off it was really tight and nice. Now there is a space between the lid and the skillet so the steam escapes. The skillet is large enough to cook almost anything you want, even for a large family.
