   Updated 2020: Been through two of these pans already in 4.5 years. First one broken in 1.9 yrs and was replaced under credit card warranty. Second broke in 2.5 years. First one broke at the plastic connector, and second one broke at the heating coil. These products have major manufacturing issues. The fit & finish varies too much and the connector doesn’t fit well into the base. The second pan is likely a weld problem between the heating coil and the stainless steel prongs. In any case, I don’t recommend this pan any more. Hopefully yours doesn’t have any problems but I’m not going to chance it again. I will have to find another solution. The features and functionality is still great, which is why I’m leaving 2 stars. But the durability problem is a dealbreaker :(———————-Original Review, 2015 (5 stars): Have used it twice. Once for grilling large empanadas (hand pies?) and once for sukiyaki. Great size, depth, and temperature control. The glass lid is nice for seeing everything. The large size of this grill is a double-edged sword. I specifically wanted the largest one I could find. But this thing is too large to store in a typical kitchen cabinet. Just a warning for anyone looking for a grill like this.

   The skillet is fairly large, which is great for frying chicken or meats. However, the temperature is very hard to control. “Low” does not mean the temperature is lower, it just means the element does not stay on as long; the higher the setting, the longer the elements stays on. There is no way to simmer your food because it will get too hot. Also, the skillet heats just under where the element is, in the center ring of the pan, which means food in that area may burn while food in the center or around the edges does not get cooked as well. The pan also bulges out right on top of the heating element, making it difficult to cook flat food items, such as pancakes. So, if you want to fry chicken or brown meat, or perhaps make a skillet meal, it might be right for you. If you want a multi-purpose skillet, find something else.

   This works great. Settings are not quite what I expected and there is a learning curve. There is no temperature setting just low med high. It ssys you can bake in it and you can but you have to experiment. But you can cook frozen pizza in it and there are numerous recipes out there for skillets.

   It is great if you have a large family. You can do all of the eggs at one time or if you have a smaller family you can do the eggs and bacon at the same time. The first one did not have a power cord with it, but I called the manufacturer and with no questions asked they mailed me out the cord. I have already ordered another one for a friend.

   Ordered this skillet to replace our old one, the heating element burned out. While it is worth the price ($40) you have to make sure all the pieces are sent. When I received this product, the handle for the glass cover was not included. The item was shipped from an Amazon warehouse who received it from a third-party seller. I would imagine the quality control should have inspected it to ensure all pieces were included. Still going to keep it as we just have to swap the piece out from our old one, luckily we kept it. Great item, just giving it 3 stars for not having all the pieces included. If you want one of these, I’d recommend it as they are great electric skillets.

   This is a great electric skillet. Easy to clean and great temperature controls. Lid has a seal on it. Highly recommend!

   I bought this for my sister in law and her bf (young couple starting out). They LOVE this thing! My mother in law went to cook dinner at their place and used this, she loved it and wanted one so I ordered one for her as a gift as well. Again, nothing but positive feedback! I’ll be ordering a 3rd for myself!
