The media could not be loaded. ย My sister gave me a Mr. Coffee mug warmer like 3 years ago and it’s been awesome. The only problem with that one is the edges. Yeah, they are nice if you are in a precarious position and you want to mitigate the risk of pushing the cup OFF the mug warmer. Very important. And yet, the edges limit you to mugs of certain sizes and shapes.I got a Cosori mug warmer about 2 years agoย ย and have used that at my work. It fits the larger mug on it, so I can keep my tea warm… all day. And it gets warm enough (if set to about 212) it will actually warm up your liquid. I can also set my little glass pot of tea on the burner and it keeps it warm very well. With this Dimux warmer, I was looking for something a little more like the Cosori (flatter so I can use with my big mug and little pots) but I didn’t need the complexity of the temperature setting. I was also interested in the ‘gravity’ function (how it turns off if you remove the mug). This is great because sometimes I grab my mug, then nurse it slowly in my hands… or leave it on the desk in front of me… and the burner is being useless (and dangerous) at that point. With other burners, I find it prudent to plug them into a timed outlet, so even if you someday accidentally leave it on, it will turn off at a certain time. This one doesn’t have that needโas long as you aren’t using it as a cup holder / space to store your mug. Then yeah, you’ll want to plug it into a timer outlet just in case. (Which I ended up doing, with a smart switch. The warmer has a standard 2-prong plug.)I haven’t tested the auto-off and I don’t know how hot this thing gets (it does get HOT). All I know is that it’s working great for me. I only wish it had a switch to turn it off so I could place my empty pot on top of it. It doesn’t go on for an empty mug (unless you press it) but it does for my empty pot. (Thus the need for the smart switch.)In the end, I like this warmer. It’s a bit large for my little side table there, but would work very well for a desktop or counter top. It’s handy that it turns off when the cup is not on it.

This is a good mug warmer with a wide base. It activates automatically with the weight of a coffee cup or mug and switches off once the weight is off the base. The outer edge of the base stays cool to the touch so it can be repositioned when actively used. The feature I don’t like about it is there is no off-switch so that it stays off even with weight is on it. If you leave a mug with just a trace of coffee in it, it will continue to heat until the moister evaporates and then the remaining coffee burns. If you accidentally put something plastic on it, I fear it would melt (something I thankfully have not done yet).

After having to get up multiple times throughout the day to reheat my tea during a recent illness, I finally hit the wall and searched Amazon for a solution. I had no idea they even made these thing and then to find out there are tons of them. So I decided on this one since it seemed to get decent reviews and the blue light looks pretty cool.I was concerned if it would be big enough for some of the large mugs I have and also if it would get and keep the contents hot in a thick ceramic mug. Ends up it fits the bill on both counts. It’s a lot bigger than it appears in the pictures and can easily hold a large mug with up to about a five inch diameter base and it can handle thick ceramic mugs with no problems. It does take up some real estate and as some reviewers pointed out the cord is a bit short, but after making a few adjustments to my side table that sits next to my chair, I was able to accommodate it with no problem. One thing I did notice that is a bit of a negative is it has a slight wobble. The base has four pads for it to rest on, but the button that is used to turn the unit on when there is enough weight, sits just a little higher than the pads so it has a very slight wobble even with a very heavy full mug. It’s not a big deal but it is a little annoying. However, outside of that one little item, it is well made although maybe a little plastic feeling, and it gets the job done…easily. It does not have an on/off switch as others noted, but relies on the pressure switch mentioned earlier to turn it on when there is weight on the device. I prefer it that way really. Yeah there is the chance you could leave a cup on the warmer and it would stay on cooking the contents, but it’s a good design if you have small children since it lessens the chance they might burn themselves…..and it does get hot. But the blue light is all most people will need to remind them it’s on.I am very pleased with this purchase. Probably one of the best things I bought this year and can recommend it without hesitation.

While the unit itself is nice and does what it is supposed to do, I ordered a blue light and received a purple. There seems to be no easy means to contact the seller for an exchange and a refund is the only option.

Like the light that shows it is activated, which seems to trigger at about half a pound. I may look for a light weight mug so that I can leave the mug on it empty without the warmer turning on.

I was not expecting to like this as much as I do. For the first time I got to drink a full mug of tea without it going cold half way through.

I love that it is wide and heats tea very well. And the automatic shut off amazing!
