I’ve tried a few recipes from this book and they are well written and turn out as desired. I wanted more one pan meals and there is a section in the back for “meals in a fry pan.” Includes appetizers, dressings and the usual meats and vegetables. There are plenty of helps in the front and back about steaming, stir frying and fat-free cooking. I was surprised that there are some recipes for baking bread right in the skillet. Some recipes require the use of the skillet, empty and wash, then continue to use it. I found this to be too much trouble for me anyway. I cook some of my ingredients on the stove and then place in the skillet. But I suppose the author was trying to use the skillet exclusively for a complete meal.Overall, it’s a nice cookbook specifically for the electric skillet.

The reason I ordered this book is because I do not like to take the time to go to Presto.com and look up recipies. As for the recipies themselves, over-all they are a bit above of time & interest level. Need I mention skill level? Since I am way-below-average as a meal preparer for a family of four, most of you meal preparers will probably find the recipies rather “elementary, my dear”. I don’t regret the purchase. Order the grill insert also. Mine is around here somewhere.

I got this cookbook for my wife. She loves cookbook. She loves the recipes and her electric skillet.Pros: Over 200+ recipes. Has breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert all in one book.Cons: Doesn’t include many pictures. The book is also smaller than she expected it to be.

I bought a small Presto skillet on an impulse. It’s great! I figured I could use it to replace so many recipes including oven but wasn’t too sure of the technique. When I googled I was surprised to find recipes right on the Presto website that were good. Then I saw they had a book, so I ordered it.This book is so complete! And it is “ECLECTIC” and diverse. Greek, Asian, Italian, German – you name it. AND our favorite old school recipes like Seafood Newburg, Stuffed Mushrooms, Irish Stew, Pot Roast, Chicken Cacciatore, Marsala, Oso Bucco, Carbonara, Classic sauces, party dips etc but also modern ones like various Pestos, Frittatas, Poached fish, Pitas and Pizza/Breads. Also desserts and candy.I’m really happy with it and also that the recipes aren’t convoluted or sanctimonious. I may not HAVE fresh herbs every day of the week that some other cookbooks demand…but if the flavor combinations are good with the right DRY herbs I know how to substitute or omit. Can’t wait to make Cheesy Artichoke Dip tonight and I’m adding some ham to it that’s not in the recipe.

Book is good, but the recipes are written in a style that you really have to work hard to use them. What would be better is to put the introduction of new ingredients in a 1,2, and 3 format rather than jumbling them all together.
