   I’ve used it 3 times and it’s worked as expected each time. No shredded corks as some reviews mentioned, but after the 2nd use it was clear that the battery will not last for 80 bottles or whatever they advertise. It’s also notable that the stoppers are fine but only one of the plungers actually works, not a big deal unless you plan to keep the bottle around for a while.

   After breaking my Manual bottle opener off in a ” Not So Cheap” bottle of wine, I decided it’s time for an upgrade. This is a really nice set at a GREAT PRICE. The cutter easily removed the foil. The opener removed the cork easily. I love that it’s rechargeable. The aerator is nice as well. There was noticeable taste improvement in wine I’ve had several times before this (without an aerator). I love the wine saver tops. You can extract the excess air from the bottle. Normally my sparkling wine goes flat after a few hours in the fridge, but with this wine saver, 6 hrs later it was still as bubbly as when I opened it. The whole set is presented nicely in a nice box. This would make a great gift.

   This review is for the Power Couple kit. Everything works well but I have to say I like the air pressure uncorker the best. 3 pumps, 4 at most for really hard and tough corks, and the corks just pop right up with zero chance of cork breakage. I am disappointed that this is currently out of stock until mid-January as I wanted to purchase a few as Christmas gifts. I’ll have to settle for the kit without the air pressure uncorker.Now I’m going to address some issues pointed out in other reviews regarding the cordless uncorker:Doesn’t screw into the cork and just breaks pieces off. You have to press the correct button. The corkscrew must be turning in a clockwise (left to right) direction to dig in. Just like a manual remover, you do still have to apply moderate downward pressure on the remover and follow it down. If you do not, it will either won’t dig in or it will break the cork off halfway.Battery life: There are literally no cordless electronics containing premium rechargeable batteries. Everything comes with the minimum rating to do the job under ordinary circumstances. That being said, this comes with 4- 700 mAh AA batteries for a total of 2800 mAh of power. You can buy single AA batteries that have in excess of 2800 mAh of stored power. I always replace supplied batteries with superior ones, that’s just how I roll. I now have 9600 mAh of power in my unit and it can effortlessly open a dozen bottles in a row.This kit ONLY comes with a USB charging cord, not an actual charger. That means you have to use an existing charging brick from another device such as a phone and it has to be sufficiently rated. Pretty much ALL phone chargers output 5v with at least 1 amp, but you are going to want to verify yours. The batteries are rated at 1.2v each but I don’t know if they power the device in series or in parallel. If the former, that means they operate with a combined output of 4.8v In that scenario, it is going to take quite some time to fully charge the unit at just 5v, possibly in excess of 24 hours depending on the battery rating. I use an actual battery charger to recharge my batteries.Batteries eventually discharge even if not used and for that reason, you should charge this unit for 24 hours before first use, as you don’t know how long it’s been since assembly or even if the manufacturer fully charged them beforehand.If you still think it isn’t working properly, replace the batteries with normal alkaline batteries and see how it works. If it works properly you need new rechargeable batteries.
