After reading multiple reviews, decided to purchase an air fryer with the highest capacity (5.5 Qt) and largest basket while still at a reasonable price. I believe $78.33 ($80.21 Prime price – $1.88 instant coupon savings) is a super reasonable price for this 4.5-star-reviewed item. Even though I intentionally purchased a larger air fryer, I admit to being surprised when I saw how big the box was upon delivery (2 days to San Diego). I immediately washed the “drawer pan” and easily detachable “frying basket” (see more on this, below) and made my first attempt at air-frying (my brother’s girlfriend’s) homemade lumpia, which were frozen. After experimenting with both temperature and time, we figured out that 1 layer of lumpia cooked best at 375 degrees x 15 minutes. [The frozen homemade lumpia I used were ~1″ x 5″ in dimension for the regular lumpia and ~2-2.5″ x 4-5″ for lumpia-filling stuffed in jalapeno peppers. I could easily fit 8 regular lumpia + 4 jalapeno lumpia in a single layer.] We put on a separate timer on @ 8 minutes so that we could turn the lumpia over about half-way. I easily pulled the drawer pan out, which automatically stops the timer, to turn the lumpia, then easily pushed it back into the appliance, which automatically restarts the internal timer. (One improvement I suggest is for the manufacturer to include a visible internal countdown timer, so you’ll know how minutes of cooking time has elapsed and how long it will be until cooking is completed. Currently, you have to rely on a separate, external timer if you want to turn food over at the half-way point, which is recommended.) The lumpia came out browned and crispy on the outside, and hot and thoroughly cooked on the inside. A minimal amount of fat from the meat filling was captured in the drawer pan, as designed.I also purchased an 8″ accessory kit (MySit Big Large XL Air Fryer Accessories 8″, Set of 9, for Power Airfryer XL Gowise Phillips Cozyna, Fit All 5.3QT – 5.8QT – AirFryer_8in for $28.82), and I’m glad I did. We were able to make from scratch, homemade Chile Rellenos, which we cooked in the 8″ round Cake Barrel, and they came out PERFECTLY. Since these were fresh (not frozen), we cooked these at 360 degrees x 10 minutes, again, turning them half-way through, and they came out perfect. In fact, my husband swears they are the best chile rellenos he’s ever had. We look forward to cooking a lot of different foods in our new air fryer. The included cookbook is nice, but you can easily find lots of air fryer recipes online.Though minimal, I carefully read through the negative (1- and 2-star) reviews. While this air fryer comes with a 1-year warranty, to be safe, I also purchased a SquareTrade 4-yr Small Appliance Protection Plan for $6.05, which also seems amazingly reasonable, given the total cost for this large air fryer is <$90. The Drawer Pan and Frying Basket, as well as the 8" round Cake Barrel (accessory), were all easy to clean. We washed them using the soft side of our dish-cleaning sponge in order to protect against peeling of the teflon coating. An initial mild order (probably the processing coating on the teflon drawer and basket) was not off-putting and discontinued by the time we finished preheating the air fryer (360 degrees x 3 min).Bottom line, this Elite Platinum Digital Air Fryer is easy to use, has plenty of room to cook for an entire family, is super easy to use, and produces crispy, tasty, well-cooked foods without the mess, inconvenience and environmentally fraught (disposal of used oil) of deep fat frying. Since it's essentially a small, contained convection oven, we plan to use it to reheat foods, cook other frozen (non-deep-fryable) foods, and to cook other items, making it an even better value. (I can't wait to try baking a cake using the accessory 8" cake barrel!)The only negatives I can think of at this point are the lack of a countdown timer (as described above) and how much space it takes up on our counter. That said, I have a feeling we'll be using it a lot, so I wouldn't want to put it away (even if I had space to store it, which I don't).I highly recommend this product, and also recommend purchasing an accessory kit and protection plan with it. We love it!

I’ve been wanting a small air fryer for an upcoming car-camping trip. So I experimented with our large one for the last few weeks making chicken wings. It went so well, that I decided to pull the trigger on this one.Breaking It In:First concern was the plastic-y smell. The instructions say to wash the bowl and tray with warm soapy water before first use. But the silicone feet on the tray still smelled. The manual says to run it at full heat for 15 min. to burn off the heating element coating from the manufacturing process. After 30 min., I could still smell it. So I did another 30 min. and that seemed to take care of it.First Test Run:I divided some large chicken wings into two pieces, (1) the drumette, and (2) the outer two sections of the wing. I could fit two pieces of the outer two sections plus a drumette, or two drumettes plug an outer wing. That’s a decent amount for a single person who is eating other things along with the wings. Being the smallest air fryer out there, that seems reasonable. The manual said to cook at 395 degrees (the highest temperature setting) for 20-24 minutes for chicken wings. I did two runs of 12 min so I could turn them and season the second side in the middle of the run. They weren’t quite as crispy as I like, so I did a little more time. They turned out pretty good, but I’ll do 15 minutes per side next time. To be fair, the manual does say that it takes 3 min to “preheat” so you should add that time when starting out “cold,” which is how I started.Ease of use:It could hardly be simpler to use. Plug it in. Load it up. Set the temp using the top dial. Set the timer using the front dial and it starts cooking. Come back when it goes “ding.” It’s Teflon coated, so it pretty much wipes clean with a paper towel.Power Consumption:I ran this first test run through a kill-a-watt type meter and measured the power usage since I’ll be using it from an EcoFlow Delta Mini power station. The power station puts out 1400W maximum and has an 880Wh energy capacity in the batteries. The specs for this air fryer say it uses 1000W. Indeed, I found that when the heating element is on, it draws between 950-1000W. The fan alone uses 15W. My chicken wing test run was at the highest temp setting, 395 degrees, and the heating element turned on for about 30 seconds every two minutes, for a “duty cycle” of about 25%. Considering that was pretty much the maximum amount of chicken that would fit below the “max” line in the bowl, I think that’s probably the most power-hungry the thing will be. When the heating element would kick on, the power draw would be 997W, and would slowly drop to about 950W over the 30 or so seconds it was on. Then the power would drop down to 15W (the circulation fan only) for one and a half minutes before the heat would kick back on. Overall, the power draw was about 6Wh per minute. So, 6Wh/min x 30 min = 180Wh to cook my 1.5 chicken wings. That’s less than 1/4 of my power station’s available energy. That would be replaced during a couple of hours of driving, or an hour of solar (if I’m stationary for a while), so I think that is quite workable.Second Test Run:I decided to test it from the power station that I bought it to use with (I had photos for each step, but it looks like the site scrambles the picture order). I loaded it up with two wing drumettes and an outer wing. Sprinkled it with Montreal Chicken Seasoning and drizzled on some Hot Buffalo sauce. I decided to run at 395 degrees for 15 + 15 min. At first, it started drawing 1007W from the station in the preheating phase. Power draw dropped slowly to about 980W by the end of the preheat. It drew about 18W from the power station when only the fan was running. After the first 15 min run. Pieces flipped and seasoning applied to second side. After the initial preheat, the max power draw was 999W at the start of subsequent heating cycles. After the second 15 min cooking session. The combined 30 minutes of run time consumed 22% (started at 44% and ended at 22% state of charge) of the battery in the power station. That was 880Wh X 22% = 194 Wh of energy. The bowl before cleaning. The bowl was mostly clean after wiping with a paper towel. It cleaned up fairly easily with soap and water the rest of the way.

This is great as a little air fryer it’s small and handy to travel with or if ur on the go… but the picture looks like it’s navy blue witch I thought was pretty cool bc I’d not seen this color and thought it would be unique gift for a guy…. usually they just black or white or silver . I had got this for a guy friend of mine thinking the color was cool being navy blue Lol well I gave it to him unopened in the box of course he took it but later he told me hey thanks for the purple airfryer … I thought he was kidding me at first till he showed me…sure enough it was purple! I had a good laugh about it bc I thought wow I bet he gets all kinda of laughs with his purple airfryer, but whatever, it works. Next time I’ll just stick with basic black lol

It’s very simple and easy to use. However, it took me a few times to understand that the temperature control is probably not too accurate. Now I just turn it up to the hottest it will go and set fries for 10 minutes. Then I dump them out and put them back in and go another few minutes to make sure they’re browned on all sides. Very convenient and does not take up a load of space.

This is the third air fryer i have purchased and the smallest by far. It works fine and saves a wholeof space. The first two did not last for more than a few months but cost more than twice as thisone. Have no idea how long it will last, but for the price, it is worth it.
