The temperature control on this “Elite Gourmet EG-6203# Extra Deep 16″x13″x3.2″ (10.5Qt.) Scratch Resistant, Easy Pour Spout” is hit-or-miss. It senses the temperature at the end of the skillet, not in the middle. When I fry eggs, they have crusty bottoms because this skillet over-heats. Notice the egg crusts in the photo. Also notice that the control on the skillet is set to 250 degrees but my thermometer shows 399 degrees. To be fair, this seems to happen only when the skillet heats from a cold start. The temperature control is better after the control turns off and on a few times. To document the problem, I set the thermostat control to 250 degrees from a cold start. I took my photo of the temperature as soon as the light went from on to off on the control. The skillet stopped heating at 399 degrees when the control was set to 250 degrees. After a few cycles, the temperature of the empty pan cycled between 200 and 300 degrees with the thermostat set to 250 which is accceptable.Cracking eggs into a skillet at either 200 degrees or 300 degrees is not a problem. Crack those same eggs into a 399 degree pan ruins them.Tip: Before cracking eggs into this empty skillet, let the thermostat control light cycle on and off and on, and off and on again before trying to fry eggs. I have to do this every morning, not just the first time I use the pan after its delivery. The temperature control is reasonable after it has cycled on for and off for about 10 minutes from a cold start. Definately don’t start the skillet, wait for the light to go off the first time and assume you know the temperature.

Handy if you like to stir-fry stuff. Average capacity, zero temperature control. Too hot to cook egg-white omelets but good for vegetables. Cleans fairly well, but there’s a crevice that could be annoying if something gets in there.

When our stove broke, I bought three different sized skillets from this listing. The tiny round one is great! Cooks a perfect breakfast for one. Unlike the others listed, it is not dishwasher safe which I hadn’t caught in the listing. It is really non-stick, though, and with it being small it washes out really easily. I got the medium square one from this listing that is dishwasher safe. It’s the one I don’t like. It heats really unevenly so it burns food around the heating element ring and doesn’t cook the other stuff. The largest size rectangle one, though, is amazing! Even heating, dishwasher safe, great size for cooking for a family of teens. No complaints. Just be aware that the different appliances listed are quite different from each other, but are mashed together in the same listing.

I travel domestically a lot. A lot of hotels that are conveniently located don’t have kitchenettes. This thing is lightweight and fairly easy to clean. Is it meant to be a primary griddle in your home? No. But for how I use it, on the road, hunched over the desk in a hotel, it’s great.

so far i’ve made diced ham, eggs and cheese. small footprint and easy to clean. on a tight budget, eggs, ham, spam and cheese fills the tummy at aprox cheapo per meal. not a mathematicion but cheap af if you are trying to make 2022 work without ramen.

I am not a fan of grease spatter or cleaning large pots like this, but my husband loves the quick-connect temp control and the way the appliance heats in an instant and cooks evenly.
