15 years ago I had one from a big box chain store, My teenaged sons used it everyday after school. One even begged me to let him have it when he moved out so I gave it to him. Now I have a teen girl at home so bought this one. I’m disappointed with the wells not being very deep to hold more toppings between the bread. And you need to buy small bread otherwise it will hang out on the sides. I regret this purchase but we have used it several times so I will not return it. Oh and the center press doesn’t cut down through the middle of the bread enough to just pull them apart to make triangles, you really need a knife.

Worked as expected, didn’t matter that bread most was bigger, made decent grilled cheese, handle broke when pushed down too hard, so don’t do that. If they made a 100 dollar version that was 75% stronger/ more durable I would buy that. After hours of looking they all seem like pretty cheap plastic products.

I bought this product as an alternative to regular sandwiches. It was inexpensive and easy to use. Be sure to use some sort of cooking spray because can be difficult to clean since the plates are not removable.

I love turkey melts and tuna melts. This works perfect for that. I usually make two at a time, one for supper and one for my lunch the following day. Only issue is the clean up process. If cheese melts through on the back side it can be a struggle to clean.
