I did not realize it didn’t come with a C02 tank. I thought I was getting a good deal but the soda stream is about the same price with a tank. Works well though.

Ok, so to be very honest, fair and “transparent, my 1-star rating is related to a reply I received from, “a seller,” to a question I submitted. Not sure if the response I received was from the actual seller, from which I actually purchased the Ellemate carbonator from, or not. Because of this, I will refrain from actually providing a review of the product.My SodaStream stopped working, so I began to look for other options on Amazon. I came upon what appeared to be a fantastic product, one that would actually carbonate wine, ext, ext, ext! However, since I had collected 4 SodaStream PET carbonating bottles, which cost me about $40 to purchase, I wanted to make sure that they would work with the Ellemate carbonator, if I were to switch brands. Therefore, I submitted a question, asking if anyone knew if SodaStream bottles would indeed work on an Ellemate. The following was literally copied and pasted, here, from and email, for all to read. Please note: The reply states it is “from a seller.”————————————————–A seller answered your question,”Will sodastream 1-litre bottles work with this carbonator unit? not asking about the co2 tanks, but the bottles you create your carbonated water in. “They answered:”Yes the PET bottles and the Cylinders are interchangeable. Our infuser that attaches to the top of the PET bottles is what allows you to Carbonate Juice, Wine, and or your favorite concoction instead of just water! Thank you for your inquiriy!”————————————-Again, the SodaStream bottles do not, I repeat, DO NOT work or remotely fit the “infuser.” The infuser “spins” on top of my SodaStream bottles. Even visually, the bottle tops are radically different. Because the SodaStream bottles DO NOT lock into place, the Ellemate WILL NOT carbonate whatever is in it! Pretty simple, right!? I do not like being lied to just to get me to buy the product. Therefore, I WILL NOT give a review as to how well it actually works. Still deciding whether to keep it or send it back… will leave it at that.

I got this for my children at Christmas. They love it! Still! They are 12 and 9. They love carbonating waters and juices and whatever they can. And the parts I love: they don’t really drink soda anymore because of this. The exchanging of cylinders is WAY easier than I ever thought it was. And the kids don’t need me to help! It’s an easy thing!THANK YOU ELLEMATE!

Great deal! Was so worried about matching my other appliances and got carried away when the algorithm led me to this simple option and must have sent a subliminal message to remind me of the 6 foot roll of gray carbon fiber vinyl I had left over from another project.I’m glad I didnt drop over $200 on something that ultimately produces a fizzy treat by delivering pressurized breath of many strangers into a bottle 🙂

I wanted to make my own soda to get away from buying it. Turns out, its 60$ for 2 60 L ellemate canisters of soda. It doesn’t carbonate enough, and that’s about what i have to say about it. Its cheaper to buy soda then to make your own, but I suppose if you can find the right syrup, or make your own you can really do things with this. The issue is at krogers, i can get 4 12 packs of bland soda at the store for 12$. It makes it hard to use up my canisters to buy new ones. Especially with the cost of syrup, again unless you make it your self.
