First wine cooler. We needed a really fast delivery. And they promised it overnight, as opposed to January and that was actually the biggest consideration. Since the reviews were overall favorable and we liked the look of the product, we took the plunge. Delivery did come overnight; slight ding on the metal frame but not a deal breaker; setup easy, and controls simple and intuitive, which is a good thing since the English translation of the instruction manual is terrible. Very nice look, big enough for our very modest collection of red and white wines. (We got the 51 bottle capacity). Not turned off by the fact it doesn’t hold that number. It should be obvious that’s just an estimate since bottles come in different sizes. It is as advertised and as other reviews have noted– very quiet! And so gets a five rating for noise level. However, we got the dual temperature zone and thus far (after the obligatory 24 hour wait before turning on, and after a few days up and running) the temperature control is not perfect. It is best described as an approximation. We set the temperature for the whites at 48 degrees, and it is anywhere from 1-4 degrees off when I check the temperature. We set the reds at 60, with the same variability. Have yet to see both zones read exactly as we set the temperatures. So, if you are a stickler for precision and a wine aficionado, probably best to avoid this product as the lack of precision of the temperature control might drive you crazy. Our view is that it’s close enough for our taste and certainly better than what we had before.

If I had written this appliance a review right after it first arrived it would have been at least 4 stars. That’s why I seldom write them that soon on durable goods. Reviewers that say it’s noisy are absolutely correct. Even the manual states that popping noises from the unit are due to expansion/contraction of internal panels. They are very loud… wake you up from a nap loud. Even so I could get used to that though it’s hardly elegant or sleek. My fiercest complaint is that the control panel began repeatedly beeping at me after about 3 months. I figured it just needed a reboot and sure enough that set it straight until about six weeks later it started again. This time I couldn’t get it to stop until I left it unplugged for about 24 hours. Now it’s started again at 7 months old and nothing will get it to stop. The trouble shooting section of the manual is an ABSOLUTE JOKE, and if none of those are the problem it indicates it should be taken to the “after sales” repair service. THERE IS NO PHONE NUMBER, ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS, WEB LOOK-UP PAGE, NOTHING! I live in a large city and called around to appliance businesses that advertise they repair wine refrigerators and no one will touch it. To keep from it being a total loss I finally unplugged one of the wires running through the door to disable the panel and therefore the now constant beep beep beep. It still cools but not at the right temperature for the reds. I’m moving next year and this fridge is going in the garbage.I blame myself for buying it on-line. I have two other wine fridges I bought in-store 15 years ago and both are fine. I thought it would be nice to downgrade in size to a dual zone fridge and take up less space. It’s just plain mean to manufacture a product without even a hint of how to get it repaired. $700 and it’s junk in 7 months. Shame on whoever distributes “Fovomi.” The manual eludes to two parent companies “Frio” and “Chilldiff” but no luck finding either of them.

Hopefully the smell will go away over time. I am flushing the air out of the unit periodically to help the process. Racks are a bit flimsy, so I strengthened them with glue and small screws. This was purchased to hold my Ridge Monte Bello collection. The bottles are very slightly smaller than most, so I can fit 56 bottles – there is one “short” shelf that I left out and the lower bottles rest on the cooler interior.

I had a problem with the controls working on this refrigerator and contacted customer service. They did send a replacement refrigerator and so far it is working properly. I am giving it 4 stars based on the actions by the CS team. The company seems to care about delivering a quality product.

Be careful. The number of bottles assume Bordeaux style bottles. Put in burgundy or similar bottles and the count goes way down. Also, the top temp should be able to go below 54 degrees. But other than those issues, it is very good value.

I purchased this wine cooler to fit in a narrow space that we had available in our new home. We currently have a wider cooler in our other house, but it was rather costly. I questioned if I would be happy with a “cheaper” wine fridge, but decided to take the risk since this was a perfect fit for our space. After setting it up and loading it with I was quite impressed with the storage capacity. Seemed to hold almost as much wine as my other one which was almost twice as wide.Overall I have been happy. The temperature has been a bit off, but it is located in an are that get a lot of direct sunlight and I think that is to be expected.A few months after I did start having some issues and contacted the manufacturer, They were able to resolve things, and I am back to being a satisfied customer.

Upon opening the box, the upper hinge on the door was broken. It appeared to be just the plastic around the hinge. We put it back together- without the broken paerts. It is still working 1 year later. It makes a noise regularly, like a crack, throughout the day. Again, it still works fine

Works well, clicking noise got a little louder over time but works fine. Packaging was awesome, no damaged panels.
