Always read the instructions! When I first used this I put it in for about 6 hours because it was frozen solid and I put in all the ingredients in individually instead of how it was recommended to it by mixing it outside of the freezer bowl then while it was on pouring it in, so the ingredients started to freeze immediately ALWAYS READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST.

The media could not be loaded. Easy to use, with minimal parts for clean up, this Green Life ice cream maker is the perfect fit for my needs. Having lactose sensitive family members, I wanted to give a try at making dairy-free versions of our long-time favorite flavors. My searching brought me here for it’s reasonable price and simple design. I’ve made home made ice cream in the past, so I knew the drill, first thing first, deep freeze the bowl. For best results this can’t be stressed enough. I put mines near the bottom of my chest freezer to be sure. For my first batch I decided on a coconut milk mint chip. Putting everything together and getting it up and running was a breeze. The included extended shoot saved me from cleaning up spills and was perfect for adding the chocolate chips towards the end. Another feature I liked was the simple tap to reverse the direction of the paddle. The whole process didn’t take long and I knew better than to expect scoopable ice cream right away. Of course we enjoyed a little soft serve style to confirm it tasted as expected. And after a few hours in the freezer we had perfect mint chip as good as parlor scooped.

Pros: fast delivery, great packaging, simple instructions and recipes included.Cons: the clear plastic top isn’t the most secure set up I have seen, just a tiny button bump sliding into a shallow groove. Also, this is very loud, it is running in the next room with a tv on and I still feel like I’m right next to it. As the cream condenses the noise does go down, but as a liquid it is very loud. For the price it seems decent, I bought it to entertain the kiddos when they come for the summer. I’m sure they will have fun with it.

Don’t buy this if you want to just spontaneously make homemade ice cream. You have to freeze the container you make it in before hand. The first time we tried to use it we couldn’t get the paddle to turn because apparently the container was frozen too hard and wouldn’t give. Had I known that you have to freeze the container prior I would not have purchased it. I’m still trying to get it dialed in.

I was excited to get an electric ice cream machine maker for the first time, but I wanted to start out small. So I read good reviews about this particular one and saw the price was right…But in my experience it wasn’t worth it at all. I did as instructed after buying my own ice cream mix and placed all the ingredients into the machine and let it do its work. Supposedly it should take no more than 30 mins…..1 hour later…..it was still looking like liquid.I made sure the bowl was in the freezer for a few days..so that I knew the liquid on the inside of the bowl was frozen solid. Right when I had my ingredients ready to dump into the bowl is when I took it out of the freezer as instructed.Well after all was read and done…it was still liquid…so I ended up putting the entire thing into my deep freezer to freeze into ice cream. Not the texture and look I was going for.I was disappointed..thought about giving it another try but refused and returned it…good ol’ fashion way works better anyway!

I love love this ice cream maker. Saw it on TikTok and had to buy it. It literally does exactly what it is designed to do. They only drawback is the space it takes up in your freezer beforehand. But is it really a drawback when you get fresh homemade ice cream. You can add small chunks of candies too, so you are unlimited in what kind of ice cream you can make with it. About a quart and a half at a time but that way you can make something different each time. Even gives you a few recipes or make up your own! Definitely recommend.

This was gien as a gift to my SIL. So far it hasnte given great icecream and they haven’t had time to experiment to make it work. Only 30 days to return it and that has passed. I hope it’s not another small appliance that looked too good to be true.
