I got this specifically because itโs for bagels; I figured that long rolls would fit, too. Sometimes the bagels/ rolls just fit, as if the toaster wasnโt proportioned for (real) bagels like you get from a deli. Also, I have to turn the toasting dial to โ5โ to get a toasted bagel. If you like proper, East Coast bagels toasted dark/ hard, spend more money.

It took me a long time to decide on a toaster that I thought I would like. We live outside of Fairbanks, Alaska and we donโt have many places to shop so the variety is limited. We were out of town and I found this one. Instead of hand carrying it back home we ordered on Amazon. The toaster is made out of a heavy type of plastic, it is very light weight compared to every toaster Iโve had in the last 30 years. That has not been a problem. Toast comes out toasted evenly and I like the different settings because my husband likes his light and I like mine darker.

This was pretty disappointing, as once again it illustrated just how products are racing to see how cheaply they can possibly make them, while giving the illusion of a quality product.I got this to replace an old, but good, toaster. It wasn’t the old heavy duty metal types, though it was metal. But just a boxy basic toaster maybe 20 years old. Worked fine. Toasted fairly well, and popped the toast up so you could grab it. Couldn’t complain. But decided I wanted one that could do English Muffins and Bagels, so chose this model. As I say, it’s disappointing.1. Heating elements are visibly uneven, very hot in some spots while not in others, and uneven between sides.2. Controls are confusing. There’s three buttons for different functions, and takes a bit to memorize them as mine is in a fairly dark spot where I can’t get close to read what the buttons are. (and it’s hard to see anyway.)You have to push one button to do bagels/english muffins.Another pops up the toast, and I’m not even sure what the third one does.3. Toasts unevenly.4. Worst of all, when it pops the toast/bagel/english muffin up when done, it pops it up and then goes back down so that you can’t even grab the item to pull it out of the toaster! You have to use two hands and physically push up on the level to raise the thing just a bit and then there’s barely enough of it sticking above the top to grab onto and pull it out. This is maddening and a bad flaw. I guess it keeps the stuff in the toaster to stay warm, but would prefer if it pushed toast up an inch or two so you could actually grab it.

I used HB products for many years and this is a nice little toaster. Slots could be a little longer/wider as I have to push some bread slices in, but once in, they don’t get stuck.

I stayed at a BnB that had one of these and I just had to buy one myself! These toaster slots are the first ones I have ever found that are wide enough for the largest bagel! That said, the toaster toasts everything beautifully and even has a cycle to thaw the bread before you toast. Awesome!

The slots are big enough for a good sized bakery bagel. Toasts evenly and fast. The toaster itself is lightweight. Easy to empty the crumb tray and tuck away in a cabinet.

It’s toasting evenly enough without any issues, but I have to turn it up a bit high (to number 6 out of 7 dial settings) in order to get a decent golden brown toast level. Then again, maybe that’s too fussy. I can only really imagine it being a number 5 setting for the same level of darkness , and I guess you don’t really have a setting for burning it black, which would be silly, so I suppose it’s not a real issue since I haven’t needed to go to 6.5 or 7, and don’t even know what that level would look like; especially since I mostly use whole grain whole wheat bread. Cheap white bread might very well begin to burn at the 6 setting for all I know.So fine: it’s a good toaster for my needs and I don’t really have any serious issues with it. I’m satisfied.
