Iβve been on a mission to make Keto or low carb waffles, chuffed and the like. But I needed a simple, inexpensive iron to test them out in. I had ordered another inexpensive single 4 inch maker, but it was going to take several weeks to arrive on back order. So I poked around on Amazon and found this little guy. It wasnβt too expensive, didnβt need a lot of bells and whistles, and has a simple slider to indicate heat preference. Plus, it makes two at a time instead of the one I was going to order originally. Iβm so pleased I got this one instead. When you first get it, you are supposed to wipe down the inside and I misted a little oil onto the plates after. Regardless, the surface is non-stick, so long as you donβt scratch it or use anything abrasive. The unit just plugs and plays, so to speak. Just be careful you donβt overfill it. I did, the second time I used it, and had a fun mess to clean up after. Still, the results are great: thick, lightweight, fluffy waffles. Pictured are keto-waffles (from a premade mix I purchased, also on Amazon, best waffles ever by the way, no need for syrup). These were on the medium setting and were still soft and fluffy, but just firm enough to hold and eat without a fork. Clean up and storage is easy too. It closes and stays closed and you can set it upright in a cabinet. I got what I paid for. The overall body of the unit is metal and WILL BE HOT when plugged in. There is no on/off switch. As soon as you plug this in, it is a go. So be careful when approaching the metal body of the unit. There are indicator lights on the top letting you know it is on and preheated. The metal body was a little scuffed in spots, but I didnβt get this for looks. It is purely functional.

This waffle maker makes good waffles. It heats quickly, the nonstick works well, and the indicator lights function properly. However, aspects of the construction feel cheap. I had to order a replacement because the original came out of the box with the plastic pieces shattered. Even the replacement had a chip missing. The temperature control feels very loose. The metal parts get very hot, but that’s par for the course. Other than that, I didn’t have any issues. If you’re looking for an affordable waffle maker, this is a solid option.

Good price pointMakes good wafflesJust must be very careful because outside gets very hot and burn yourself or be careful if around children not to touch the outside

I like this product and would buy it for others. The only demerit is that the temperature control is imprecise. It’s a slider that does not fit firmly in its casing and it seems like all it can offer is “cooler” or “hotter”. Folling recipe directions from a chef that uses this iron, I haven’t had an over or undercooked waffle yet.

Perfect size waffle maker for a small family. I bought this item to make waffles for my grandchildren when they visit. Easy to clean.

Heats up fast. Even temps. Makes great waffles. Donβt like that thereβs no off/ on switch. Steam pressure is always pushing batter out of sides so MUST never over fill which can be tricky! If using fruit ie. Berriesβ¦ more steam and pressure pushing batter out of seam. So lots of cleaning up. Overall we use it a lot and are happy with the way waffles come out.

I like this waffle maker but the piece that keeps it closed when youβre using it popped off in about a weak and now I have to hold it closed. Not worth what I paid for it.
