So since receiving it a month ago I have made bread, cookies and a cake with it. It’s sleek and reminds me of my mom’s 1960s Osterizer Not only does it come with baking and dough hooks but it has a wisk, which’s something new for me. I’ll have to make macaroons now. I like and dislike that it does not turn automatically. I suppose you get used to one way and now this is a change. You can adjust the bowl so it’s off-center or center which is new and interesting. Today I was making bread and it started to smell like the motor was burning toward the end of mixing. Tomorrow I have to make a cake for Christmas eve, if it smells again, I am going to have to contact the seller and see about returning or exchanging this. Overall I am satisfied with it.

This was purchased to replace a previous version of this that lasted years. I really like that it functions as a stand mixer, which is how I usually use it, but if I need a hand mixer it can do that too, but doesn’t take up any more kitchen space. I got the stainless steel color, not thinking about the fact that sugar and flour both show up a lot on it. The ridges at the front are hard to clean. As pointed out in another review, the beaters do not touch the bottom of the bowl which was not the case in my last one. I have to scape it as it mixes to get the bottom ingredients up into the batter or dough. But all in all I like it. In addition to beaters it comes with dough hooks which I don’t need but also a whisk which might be useful and it is powerful enough to mix cookie dough.

Im sorry to have to change my review what I said before about this mixer being a good mixer was trues but the very big downfall of it is the hand mixer part is very heavy its not amazons fault nor is it the sellers fault its just eh way its made and because i have arthritis in my hands and they don’t function the way they used to. I still maintain that its a great mixer but is geared more for either younger people or for people that don’t have arthritis issues in their hands.unfortunately i cant return it cause i never saved the box, so i will have to find something I don’t hold in my hand at all. Again it is a great mixer and works really well and if your looking for a cheap replacement from Kitcheaide this is it.And i also maintain that the people that work here in customers service are wonderful and the best ever.

Great beater. Very nice mixer with all of its speeds. How convenient to have a hands free stand or take it out and operate without the stand. Love it. Bought one for a gift, too. Wonderful quality product for the price.

I’m so disappointed. I use a lot of Hamilton Beach products and generally, they are very good, well built and long lasting. This particular mixer, though, is not something I will buy again. I bought it 3 months ago and just used it for the first time. The beaters are not long enough to reach the bottom of the bowl. I was beating egg whites and the beaters didn’t even touch. My work-around was to hold the bowl up to the beaters, since the hand mixer is way too heavy. Unfortunately, this mixer is going to goodwill and I won’t buy another Hamilton Beach. I mean – really – who designs a mixer that doesn’t have long enough beaters??
