Love this pot its great for pasta and rice and keeps the kitchen cool in the summer. The negatives are its quite small so only big enough for 1 to 2 people and its very light weight so it can move easy on the counter ( i almost knocked it off the counter with my elbow when I turned around too fast). But other than that it’s great?

This pot is okay, but the coating chipped rather quickly. I purchased this pot 2 months ago and use it at work to stop the ordering out. I use a mild dish detergent and a micro fiber cloth to clean. I’m not cooking lots of acidic foods even though this should not matter. So, I’m not sure why this is happening.

I got this for some coffee table hot pot, while watching TV.First of all, it’s incredibly simple to use. Plug it in, add water, and turn the dial. The dial has two heat settings, which seem to equate to “simmer” and “boil”. There’s no other temperature control. I honestly thought that would be a bigger pain than it really is.Heating is relatively quick considering it’s rated at 700w, but adding a bunch of frozen goodies to the boiling liquid quickly brought it to a halt and took longer than expected to heat back up. i kind of expected this, and to get going I started off by adding a little water and brining it to a boil, then adding separately boiled water from a kettle to fill the pot.Honestly though, even though it requires a bit more patience than I’m used to for hot pot, it’s so convenient that I’m willing to forgive pretty much anything. Except the cord length. I don’t know what they were thinking on this one, but it’s SO short. Luckily it’s a normal computer (IEC) power cord so finding a suitable longer one is easy enough.Cleanup is sort of odd, because they caution you not to “immerse” in water because there are vents in the bottom. The heating portion (the pot) does NOT come out, so you do have to wash in place, and carefully enough to not get the rest of the unit wet. I’d really like it if the inner pot was removable for cleaning, but it’s non-stick so it cleans up quickly at least.Overall I’m very happy with this unit. It’s just barely big enough for two people, and requires some deliberate usage to make it work, but it’s so convenient that it’s worthwhile.
