I had an older Peltier Effect wine cooler that I replaced with this Ivation wine cooler with a compressor. It seems counter-intuitive that a cooler with a compressor would be quieter and more energy efficient than a cooler with a Peltier-effect chip and heat sink, but the compressor in this cooler is quiet, uses less energy and is able to maintain optimum cooling for wines even when the room is above 80 degrees F.I’m very satisfied with my purchase.

Great starter wine fridge in a budget. Looks great to match our stainless appliances, nice adjustable feet to balance it properly. Temperature controls seem to be a bit sensitive and sometimes it needs to catch up to the temp you set it at when it’s drifted +/- 3 or 4 degrees from its setting before kicking the compressor on. Not a big deal though, keeps stuff at good wine-keeping temps. The lighting inside is poor so don’t expect much here, but it is better than nothing. For what we paid for, it’s well worth it!

I received the cooler, it seems to work ok but the handle came with missing parts and the manufacturer would not send them to me they said I need to contact Amazon. Amazon’s site says I need to contact the manufacturer. Bad customer support. I hope I don’t have any major problems.

First attempt to buy this wine cooler resulted in a broken unit, the inside glass of the glass door was cracked, and broken, very sharp, clearly not tempered glass. Credit to Amazon, replacement was delivered within a week. Excited to give it a try after letting it sit the room for a day. Plugged in, sounded reasonable, not too loud, but it certainly lets you know it is in the room and working. The temperature control was simple and easy to set. Day one, it went to set temp but did fluctuate between the set temp and about 5 degrees higher, which I was okay with as I set temp to 50 degrees. But within an hour, the unit starts to heat up and gives off a lot of heat. The side of the unit gets so hot when the compressor comes on. It would cool down when the compressor is off. But this is a fire hazard concern that I am not comfortable with. It’s too bad, it looks nice n my space and chilled the bottles pretty well. But can’t take the risk it would overheat and causes a fire.

The reat top corner was bent. Other than that, seems to work fine and it came a day early. It was a gift and they are pleased otherwise

I love the look of the wine cooler! The measurement from the hinge to the floor is 29.5 inches with the legs fully tighten. The measurement made the custom fit for my cabinet inaccurate!! The instructions states you have to keep the legs on for ventilation, thus the unit does not meet the specifications in the description.

The wine refrigerator was delivered in good shape – quickly cooled to our desired temperature. Could not attach the handle with the screws provided. They were too short and also missing the washers.This model has pull-out shelves – 4 full size and one half-size for the bottom. 3 of the 4 full shelves are fine – One full shelf and the half shelf are missing “stops” to prevent the shelf from falling out. And both of them are missing the second strip of wood along the back and the corners are not curved like the others.(See pictures). Customer service is sending out new screws but said the shelves are made in China and are supposed to be that way – which in my opinion is total BS.Glad I bought the extended warranty as I don’t expect much from the company with any problems that may come upUPDATE–Got the replacement screws and managed to get the handle attached but it’s not very secure so we probably won’t use it. The fridge does keep the wine cold but that’s about it.
