I like the hotplate a lot. I have tried to cook several things and found it performed well. I have a 4-quart stainless pressure cooker. It worked well and got to the desired pressure easily. I wanted to see if it would heat my canning pressure cooker, but it never got to a good rolling boil, so that did not work but that is not a deal breaker. Since it is a single burner, you do not lose watts as you would with a double one. I can see myself using it for a long time and am glad to have it when I cook for a crowd. It doesn’t heat the counter beneath it either which is a plus as well as the cool to touch handles when in use.

Second time, good copy. The first came with loose parts. That is why the 4 stars. I should mention that helped that Amazon made the replacement process pretty easy and super fast.

Great temperature controls with under-the-glass LCD indictor for wattage use. Attractive. Glass surface easy to clean and no weird recesses on the body that attract grime. Unable to judge longevity, as we are using it in a lab setting w/o heavy duty use.

The size and the flat surface provides a sturdy base for my big hotpot, which requires constant heat. It works very well and heats up pretty quickly. Plus, I really like the design. Please be aware that you will definitely need an extension cord for this stove.Also, if you are sensitive to noise, then this is not for you. There is an internal fan constantly running ( sounds like hair dryer blowing) and every time when you turn the knob, there is a sharp beeping sound.

The hot plate works well, but the first two settings are way off. Setting 100 uses 750 watts and 200 uses 1480 W. After that the settings increase appropriately. Also the first unit we bought had E3 errors often, but seller sent a free replacement within a few weeks. Caveats aside, it does heat well, cool down fast, and clean up easily.Update: The replacement hot plate usually goes to E3 error after a few minutes on setting 300, 400, 500, or 600. The other settings do not appear to trigger E3.

I m happy that l can use any pans cast iron, aluminum, stainless Still etc.l wish it was 1800W.
