EDIT – I’ve had this machine over 1 month, made at least 2 dozen loaves of bread, and I LOVE IT. I no longer buy bread because my family is only eating the stuff I bake now. The only reason I deducted a star was because you can’t bake a 2 lb loaf in it, although you can mix a 2 lb loaf in it easily.I bought this bread machine to replace my 7 year old Sunbeam that walked off the counter and broke while kneading dough. I’ve been making bread 1-2 times a week for those 7 years, and much more frequently during the pandemic lockdown, so I was in a hurry to replace it. I’m still pretty much on self-imposed lockdown. On the whole, I’m happy with this machine. I usually only used my Sunbeam to make dough, and baked my bread in the oven, because I didn’t like the loaf shape. I expected to do the same with this machine, but I’ve been surprised to find myself following right through to bake most of the time. I’ve had it about a week and have made 5 batches of bread. I’m still learning this machine and will update as I learn more.Pros:- It has a beautiful, heavy-weight and stable, black stainless steel body.- The 730 hp motor is powerful enough to mix and knead heavy doughs. I used the 11-Raw Dough setting to mix sourdough with 5 cups of flour, which I think is closer to a 2.5 lb loaf. I used 17-Ferment to let it rise, then put it in the refrigerator overnight to increase its sour flavor & baked in the oven as usual. (I’m not sure what 12-Leaven dough does). EDIT: 12-Leaven mixes & leavens the dough, just like you’re used to.- It is much quieter and MUCH more stable than my old machine. It doesn’t shake or vibrate at all. I suspect that’s because of the stronger motor.- The 2 heating coils make a beautifully browned, evenly cooked loaf. My go-to bread is white-whole wheat, with oatmeal and cooked grain in it. I tried it using both the 1-Soft White and 8-Multigrain settings, and both worked fine. Not surprisingly, I guess, the 8-Multigrain setting works marginally better.- The bread slides right out of the pan.- The paddle doesn’t stay in the bread or rip a big hole like it did in my Sunbeam. I did have a hard time getting it out of the pan the first time I baked, but I spray a little cooking spry on the stem before putting the paddle on, and haven’t had a problem since. (Pro-tip: If your spouse does the dishes, make sure they scrub the stem thoroughly to get off ALL baked-on bread crumbs).- Update- I used the fruit/nut dispenser to dispense 1/2 cup dried cranberries, and it worked fine. [I haven’t used the fruit and nut dispenser but will update shortly, after using.]- The delay time works fine Edit to add:- The last rise time starts ~1 hour 50 minutes before the end of the cycle for most of the bread types, so if you want to remove the blade, that’s the time to do it.- To make and rise dough only, use 12-Leaven Dough (11-Raw Dough only mixes the dough, does not go through rising cycles)Cons:- The pan will NOT hold a 2 lb loaf for baking. a 1.5 lb loaf fills it nicely when baked. That’s why I took off 1 star.- This isn’t really a con, as it’s the case for all bread machines of which I’m aware, but the loaf shape is not like any bread you would buy at the store, or bake in your oven. Slices are too big to fit into the toaster, and my son complains that 2 slices make a too-big sandwich, but 1 slice makes a too-small sandwich. So far I’ve been cutting the loaf in half lengthwise, then slicing it crosswise. Maybe the next loaf I make I’ll go to the trouble of taking the dough out and putting it in a pan to bake in the oven. We’ll see.- As others have noted, the user manual is not especially helpful. This may be a better machine for someone who is a longtime bread machine user.- Edit to add: I tried making blackberry preserves, but it didn’t get hot enough to set the preserves. I may have tried to use too many berries, however.

This replaced my burned-out Hamilton-Beach machine, a low-end device that I learned with. But I often make heavy breads that challenge the kneading motor. This KBS has a powerful motor and many other features in a device that costs not much more than the cheapest breadmakers. It seems very solid and hefty, the motor doesnβt balk when the dough is heavy in the early stages of kneading. The two burners make evenly baked loaves and the final results are lovely with only a small hole in the bottom. As others have said, getting the beater removed from the pan is a challenge. Donβt use metals implements since it will chip the finish. Hot water and patience. Nothing sticks to the pan except under and around that beater blade.Iβm expecting this breadmaker will hold up but only time will be the test.

I love this bread machine! The oblong pan makes the bread seem more like what you would get from the store. The options for all the types of bread, how browned you want the bread. It does not walk itself off the counter! It stays where I put it. Pan is easy to remove and lock in place. The only bread I buy from the store now is hamburger and hot dog buns. I would give this 4.5 stars but don’t know how to do that.

I wish I had known how life changing a quality bread maker is earlier. Super easy to use, convenient, and it produces unbelievably good bread. My whole family loves it. Iβve made sandwich bread, honey wheat bread, cinnamon roll dough, and bread bowl dough so far. I love that I can make a full loaf in the machine, or just run the dough cycle and then make bread bowls, cinnamon rolls, or even pizza dough. Itβs super easy to clean and relatively quiet. Iβve got no complaints so far.

I am new to breadmaking. I had tried one machine earlier and gave it as a gift so that I could buy this product. I especially like the ceramic pan. My bread comes out easily and the bread is just as I have hoped it would be. After reading other reviews I was impressed that it would be what I wanted. I am not disappointed.

It kneads the dough better than my last bread machine. My favorite bread machine book is the better homes and garden book. This machine says it does 2 pounds, it doesn’t for standard bread, it doesn’t have enough room between the bread pan and lid. 1.5 pounds comes out perfect. It did smell the first time I used it. I wish it had a bigger peek window to watch it rise but that’s really not necessary. It makes really good bread, I’m loving it over the store bought stuff.

I recently purchased the KBS 17-in-1 Bread Maker and I have been extremely impressed with its performance. Prior to this, I had been using a Zojurushi bread maker for years, but the bread from the KBS has come out even better. One of the standout features of this bread maker is the nut dispenser, which works perfectly. I have used it to make a delicious cinnamon raisin bread and the raisins were evenly distributed throughout the loaf. While the loaf didn’t have the traditional swirl pattern, it still tasted great, especially when using the sweet bread recipe.Another notable feature of the KBS bread maker is its upgraded dual heaters, which provide 360-degree heating to ensure that the bread is evenly baked and browned. The bread machine also has a removable non-stick ceramic pan that is healthier and easier to clean than traditional non-stick surfaces.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase of the KBS 17-in-1 Bread Maker. Its advanced features and user-friendly design make it a great option for anyone looking to make delicious homemade bread. The added bonus of a healthy ceramic pan and perfect nut dispenser are just icing on the cake (or in this case, raisins on the bread). I would highly recommend this bread maker to anyone in the market for a high-quality, reliable machine.
