It makes ice cream, so it’s hard to call it “bad” per se. I made up the cream mix and churned it for thirty minutes as instructed. The results seemed to still be completely liquid, but I poured it into a container and froze it regardless.After freezing over night, it did set up into a relatively solid but still scoopable ice cream. Maybe I’d get better results if my ice cream mix was already cold? Might have to experiment with this a bit.Regardless, it’s functional. It’s fun to mess with. Looking forward to trying out more recipes and see if they fare better.

I’m a single senior who loves home made ice cream but unless the family is over I don’t need my 5 qt maker. I just received and used this twice over the weekend. (One 2 year old ice cream loving grandchild was visiting). This unit was so easy to use, and only 3 pieces. I can’t recommend this enough. The only issue is that the recipes are in metric-mil’s and grams. Fortunately my measuring cup has cup measurements on one side and mil’s on the other and I have a small kitchen scale that calculates either ounces or grams, so we figured it out pretty quick. Granddaughter loved watching it through the clear lid. It’s quiet,quick, and I can tell I’ll be using it a lot. Highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a smaller electric ice cream maker.

My sugar addiction that is…. thus is easy to use and works really well and I can literally have fresh ice cream whenever I want. I use it more for non dairy versions and it still freezes well. You can’t store Long term in this canister but it’s not like this is going to be around for a long time in my house.
