KitchenAid and Amazon…. this is not right! Before anything, this has never been used. Pictures as it came.I saw multiple other reviews just like this one. I called amazon…. asking if this is indeed new. Amazon said it is and that I should contact Kitchenaid directly. Even after I stated I see multiple reviews stating the same issue. No help there so I contacted manufacturer, KitchenAid (Whirlpool). After “booking a customer service appointment” (their chat feature only works if you have an order number…. since amazon purchases and sends it to customers, we get an amazon order number, not manufacturers). I get a call, the lady sent an email to confirm what’s going on…. then throws “disclaimers of warranty” at me without listening much and stated the item is only exchangeable and returnable only if “it is not working”. I was taken aback. She asked me for pictures…. I sent her the ones uploaded here (all while we’re on the phone). She promptly said “I don’t see anything wrong or any stains”…. maybe the picture is “too big” and the glare is “too bright”. I realized that she wasn’t going to admit the mistake…. took proof and my time for their own purposes…. I said, can you please tell me which 1 you’re looking at because I’ll point it out to you… (I also sent her the model/serial number photo, not uploaded here for obv. reasons)…. she said “It doesn’t matter, I don’t see it and that’s what matters.” Stating, “only the serial/model number picture is visible. Now, since this matter is considered resolved on my end…. I see that you have taken time and energy to reach out to us in regards to this and I want to compensate you with 1 egg beater thingy, spiral thingy for the dough or a splash guard”. Do you really think this compensates for the fault or the 1 hour spent on the phone doing this? I don’t think this is right and I leave this review here for future customers too.Notes:1.) The cost of the “courtesy” spiral thingy does not compensate for the time spent on the phone.2.) The oil is clearly visible.3.) This is supposed to be sent “As advertised”…. aka “new”. Grease/oil/smudge = not as advertised.Reached amazon again, pointed to this review and without much hesitation they sympathized, apologized, provided avid solutions/alternatives and recommendations moving forward to establish a meaningful relationship. i am taken aback by the manufacturer – they can learn a few things. I’m so glad I bought this on amazon than on the manufacturers’ website (which is hyper glitchy also). Additionally, amazon said I can by Assurion Insurance for future through their website if I need –> This insurance is cheaper than the extended warranty provided by the manufacturer, reasonable and easy to deal with. Raised my stars from 2 to 4 –> because this is amazon’s review (they’re the sellers on here, they get rated for the product). This increase of stars is FOR of amazon. BUY IT HERE.

I’ve been waiting to purchase a Kitchenaid mixer stand for many years. When I saw the price, I had to purchase it. It’s heavy but it is built well, all metal. It is built to last. I very happy with it so far. For Thanksgiving I used the mixer to make chocolate cookies and mash potatoes. The cookies were the fluffiest I’ve ever made and the mash potatoes were very creamy.

I love my kitchen aid mixer so I bought one for my brother who loves to bake! Does not come in discrete packaging so beware if you are buying as a gift for someone who lives with you !

I gave my Mother one of these 40 years ago it still works great! She made a candy called bon bons, needed massive mixing. When she opened it from under the tree she got tears in her eyes! All her granddaughter and great grandchildren want or have one. This was for a wedding gift to one of her greats! Cannot miss with this.
