I’ve pretty much switched to having protein shakes in the morning along with the occasional shake as a meal replacement or whenever I get hungry and need to satisfy that hunger with something healthier than what I used to eat…at first I tried blender bottles. They were mostly, meh. I’ve determined a LOT of how efficient your bottle may be depends a great deal on the protein powder you plan to use. They are NOT created equal and some blend better than others. I try to shy away from plant-based meal replacement/protein shake powder for only one reason: I’ve tried more than 7 different kinds and I’ve never liked the taste of any of them. Some were better than others, but none made me want to finish the whole bottle and I ended up donating each to friends who were okay with the flavor or genuinely liked the taste. Not sure if this is true with all plant based shakes, but so far (for me anyway) it has been.I prefer whey based shakes…but not even all of them are equal. This is a case where the phrase, “You get what you pay for” pretty much applies. Not 100% mind you, but far more often than not. I tried a chocolate peanut butter protein powder from Complete Nutrition once (I had a $50 gift card) and the bottle of powder cost the whole $50…which for my meager budget was quite expensive…but man did it blend and taste incredible. Best I’ve ever tried, in fact. No sugar…but you’d never know it from the taste. Unfortunately that first bottle was also my last because my finances simply cannot afford it. I discovered around this time that even the harder to blend whey protein shakes would blend much better with an actual blender rather than a shaker bottle. I’ve stuck with them ever since. For quick protein shakes that do not require ice (more than a single cube) and no frozen ingredients, the Magic Bullet works great. If your goal is to get a powerful blender to mix frozen fruits and veggies to make a smoothie, you would be better suited to look elsewhere. The motor in the Magic Bullet simply isn’t strong enough to work on anything more than as I mentioned before, a single ice cube. I tried 2 cubes once, and it was apparent from the moment I turned it on that this was not going to work. I pretty much knew this going in having done my research ahead of time on the blender and I knew the limitations, so this didn’t surprise me. If you truly wish to make a smoothie using frozen anything, I don’t know that a personal blender exists that can conclusively show they are effective at blending well. The motors simply aren’t powerful enough to expect any kind of efficiency…not without running the risk of burning out the motor and/or getting significant chunks of ice or fruit left over regardless of how long you try to blend it. You may as well invest in a larger model that has the power to blend whatever you wish. There may be a personal model I don’t know of which can do this, but I’d imagine if it can, it will come with a rather significant price tag as well. Just keep that in mind. For me, I love my Magic Bullet. I know what it can and cannot do, and that’s okay. ESPECIALLY for the price. It comes with the most cups and attachments I’ve ever seen, again, especially for how little it cost. I would gladly trade 2 of the cups for one larger cup however. Maybe twice the size? Again, this is a very minor complaint considering what it comes with, but it’s nice to know I can order a cup which is bigger that fits the Magic Bullet specifically…which I’m sure I’ll do at some point. For making my protein shakes with almond milk, an ice cube and maybe a small chunk of banana and a spoonful of peanut butter, it works pretty much flawlessly.

I bought this to use in my office since I have a mini fridge, I can keep fruit and green leaves to make quick smoothies on demand. However, be warned-this blade/motor is not very strong, not like the nutribullet. I don’t blend frozen fruit/veggies in it as it doesn’t always break them down and I’m left with a chunky smoothie… not great. Sometimes kale leaves don’t break down and their left swimming in the smoothie. It works great for small quantities and soft foods. Sometimes I also use it to mix a drink powder with milk or water. I wouldn’t do anything major in it though.

Pleasantly surprised how efficient and very easy to use! I put protein powder, milk, fruit and blend it up so quick. It’s not very loud when I use it in the mornings. Super easy to clean, I hand wash everything so the dishwasher doesn’t warp it or compromise the snug seals. It doesn’t take up much counter space, about the size of a 32 oz cup. Love this little blender, it does exactly what I need. Don’t know why there are negative reviews, folks must be really hard on theirs or run it too long. Says right in the directions to use quick bursts or very short multiple blends – not to run it continuously for over a minute. Get one! You won’t be disappointed!

i got this blender because i wanted something to make my smoothies in but didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg. after using it for more than a month i want to share some tips for the best blending experience:1. this blender is not meant for crushing ice (only realized that after i read the manual…), HOWEVER, frozen fruits can work pretty well if you (a.) let it thaw out some in the container before you start blending (b.) if your fruit is frozen it’ll probably get stuck at the top, if that happens just shake it down (c.) DON’T PUT TOO MUCH FRUIT IN, the more you put the harder it’ll be to blend2. the more liquids the merrier!!! from my experience it is significantly easier to blend and takes much less time if you put a good amount of liquid in there (not really an exact measurement, you just gotta feel it out)

I recently purchased the Magic Bullet Blender and have been very impressed with its performance. It’s small and compact, making it perfect for blending and mixing small quantities of food. I primarily use it to make my smoothies and it’s plenty powerful for that. The blending cups are easy to clean and reuse and are also dishwasher safe.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to others.

Product is great, but was shipped in its original box with label stuck on the outside. Pretty tacky and tough to return if I wanted to. In this case, was a gift, so person getting it knew it was there before I did as they picked up the mail…..

Yeah, it’s super loud and strong but it’s extremely effective and cool blender to use. Can slice and blend almost everything like fruits, carrots, cucumber, and vegetables. Great for home use and office use!

But…if you just wanted to blend a little bit of salsa or something chunky like that the small blades just spatter the ingredients onto the sides of the bowl. This might be better if the blades were bigger and 2 tiered like in a blender.
