Just got this and already having fun with the kids making cones and eating ice cream. Works really well as long as you know a few things. There Is no timer or temperature setting. There is no latch. But holding it down until about 20 seconds after the green light comes back on makes a great crispy cone.

I have used this product 3 or 4 times and have been getting the hang of it. It does have a recipe that works very well making the waffle cones. I bought it for making gluten free cones for my daughter and myself. I can say the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is that it takes at least 3 times longer to make a single cone than instructed. I recommend storing leftovers in an air tight container.

Itโs a cool little cone โwaffleโmaker but I wish the plate was smaller. I keep making these gigantic cones. But thereโs no temperature green means go. I also think it use a little cone stand so you make a few

Bought this for stroopwafels first and made more than a dozen with it the day after it arrived. It performed very well once I figured out the timing – just about 2 minutes and every waffle was golden brown perfection. The unit maintained consistent temperature throughout, the nonstick plates released everything easily with an offset spatula, and the natural weight of the top plate produced the perfect thickness. Canโt wait to try it on a traditional cone recipe. This iron has already earned a spot in my kitchen – will take care of it!

It is simple to use but did take a bit of practice to get the cones closed at the bottom. My family loves it. Just plug it in and it heats up quickly. If making large quantities, I suggest Unplugging it and letting it cool down for awhile. Itโs built for home use, not commercial.

Pros:-Comes with a great recipe that’s easy to convert to gluten-free-It’s easy to use-Happy kids eating gluten-free waffle cones in the first time in YEARSCons:-The lights are a bit of a joke. You can’t tell if one is lit over the other. They both look lit, all the time.-It cooks the waffle cones unevenly, and distributes the batter unevenly – so you’ll have a thick and thin side. Even with adding extra time, the thick side sometimes does not get crispy.-The directions say there is a latching mechanism, but there isn’t one. So?

The appliance itself works well, allow to preheat with it closed and that helps even heat distribution.Use the recipe included and get comfortable with it. Before trying others or adding things. The main issue is the tools are flimsy and small. We got this for our farm to table cafe to serve our slow churned ice cream in and we ended up buying a metal tool that doesnโt require you to touch it. They came out better and we didnโt keep burning our hands.
