This is the best Belgian waffle maker ever. I have had waffle makers and always were so messy with spill over and were hard to remove the waffles. But I was very happy with my purchase of this Cuisinart stand-up waffle maker. Yes, there may be an overfill at the top of maker, but it is easily removed when done cooking. But it makes the best waffles. I kept my level at a #3 and they came out perfect every time. I love that it lets you know when it is ready to start and then when the waffle is done! My granddaughters love it when I make them apple cinnamon waffles when they come for breakfast. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you, Cuisinart.

Wasn’t sure about the upright design on this waffle maker. It definitely takes some getting used to, and you have to be careful not to overfill it. But the quality of the waffles it delivers makes it worth it. We get perfectly shaped, perfectly browned, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside waffles every time. One note of caution: The batter really does make a difference. We mixed up a simple flour and water batter to cook a test waffle since I’m not a fan of eating off of new nonstick cookware even if thoroughly washed. We cooked it for about ten minutes on the highest setting through multiple beep cycles and it was still white on the outside and raw in the middle. But as soon as we mixed up proper waffle batter and dumped it in, we got crisp, fluffy waffles, perfectly browned and absolutely delicious. This waffle maker is a definite win for me.

The media could not be loaded. ย Follow the directions and you will be making perfect waffles every time. You will spill batter on the iron trying to pour it into the funnel. You will be tempted to add more batter than the one scoop (Don’t).I wish the power cable were a bit longer (about 2 feet longer) it would make it easier to use in places not right next to an electrical outlet. The perfect scoop measure will cook the waffle properly. if you use less than a scoop, it will not fill the iron and it will not cook the perfect waffle. If you do like me and think one scoop is not enough and add more, it will slowly rise into the funnel and you have time to scoop some of this out before it makes a bigger mess. The iron beeps when at ready temperature. The green light turns off when you add the batter. When the waffle is ready based on the temperature setting it will beep to let you know it is done.Open the iron, remove your perfect waffle, close the iron and pour in another scoop.

Purchased this for homemade waffles. Comes with a recipe book so that was handy. I,like the fact the machine let’s you know when it is hot enough to add the batter and also when the waffle is finished. It beeps each time..so there is no guessing. It only makes one waffle at a time but they are nice sized. It lets you decide on how Brown you want the waffle. I set it on 4 for a more golden color, crisper yet still flaky inside. It comes with a measure scoop so you know how much batter to add, but depending on the ingredients added it’s a learning curve, yet easy. Cleanup is a breeze as the batter doesn’t stick since you use oil in the batter…haven’t tried it using butter only in the batter. Recommend it. Can have waffles home anytime fresh, cheaper and convenient.

My daughter loves Belgian waffles and Iโve been on the hunt for a machine for a while. When I saw this it intrigue me because it appears to be Space saving as well as I didnโt think there was a chance of creating a bad waffle with it. So far the waffles have been great I am not able to get a crispy waffle but Iโm not sure if that is the mix or my setting on the waffle maker. I will play around with it to see. Cleaning it is extremely easy as nothing sticks to it so that is great. My only issue is they provide a cup for you to use to fill up the machine and I cannot get the exact amount correct in order for it not to overflow even using the cup. Weโve tried several different cups and amounts and I just cannot get it right Iโm sure at some point I will master it but just know there is a slight learning curve. But overall I love it I would recommend it and I am very happy with the purchase.

I have been making many waffles lately and I have tried different brands of waffle mix and the waffles come out great. When you are pouring the waffle mix, pour it in slowly by the time you see it getting full, it will bubble up and overflow the top spout. Since you can’t remove the waffle grids, you can’t remove them to wash them out so I use a damp paper towel to clean up little specs of dried batter. I like that it doesn’t take up much room on my countertop.

You will be so glad you bought this space saving and carefully designed appliance! The only peeve I had with the unit was that the space you put your badder through is quite narrow; when using a traditional waffle recipe, the badder would collect in the funnel-like pour area and start cooking there. I learned that if I made the batter more runny by adding less of the dry ingredients to the mixture, the batter actually makes its way into the iron and it tastes just the same in my opinion.
