   One thing I really appreciate about this is it cooks evenly.I am a little puzzled as to why the directions suggest using puff pastry for the top instead of regular pie dough. I used pie dough for the top this time and they came out perfect. I think the steam or whatever from the puff pastry is the reason why some of the white by the bottom handle is now stained yellow. Still works great though!Another thing I like about this is you can do batter in here. I did brownie bites one time and they came out pretty good.

   It seemed to be a good quality.However I only purchased this with the intent to just “bake” a couple frozen biscuits. I had a hard time determining what the finished size of the product would be so it’s completely my fault.If you have kids and want to make some small fresh muffins that are a few bites then this would be perfect for you. I did return the product. I went back and ordered a single pot pie cooker instead which I should have done to begin with.

   I love the concept of this product. However, the machine does not come with any kind of temperature control or even an on/off switch. Plug it in and it is on. Not exactly safe, as there is no way to turn it off except for unplugging it.”Mini” pie maker is misleading. To me, a mini pie is about 4 inches. These are about 2, making them bite size.Not only was the enclosed manual mangled, it was for a Corn Dog maker. When contacted, the manufacturer responded in a timely fashion with a link to a PDF file. This means I now have to use my own ink and paper to print out the manual.I made Bavarian Cream pies for my husband. He and the cat love them, so the product DOES do what it claims. However, no timer, no on/off switch, no temperature control leaves a LOT to be desired.

   I loved it and am so happy with the purchase however it is not the easiest thing to clean. Took me as long to clean it as it took to cook my pies. But worth it. 🙂

   Bought this for a bit of fun, and it’s exactly that. The only word of caution is that most mini-pie recipes around the internet seem to be for pies made in small ramekins — so they’ll give you *way* too much filling! In addition to regular sweet pies (pie pastry on bottom, puff pastry on top), I’ve tried savory with mashed potato on top — and they turned out wonderfully. If you’re looking for a fun little appliance to make something fun…this will fit the bit.
