   Very affordable coffee maker, very quick to heat up, and most importantly simple and easy to use. Mine came with one button on and off and it doesn’t take long to heat up and go. It may take a bit to clean but its not hard like espresso makers. Full disclosure: I’m a simple drinker that just likes my coffee black so this was mainly perfect for someone like me that wants a painless stress-free coffee daily driver. So I will say again if you want something super simple and no thought involved just make coffee from grounds, this is for you. If you wanted to be something complicated, maybe you may want something bigger

   Both in the listing here at Amazon, and on the manufacturer’s Web page for the machine, information has been omitted.The machine does not ship with a filter of any kind. It requires 1-4 cup basket type paper filters, or a reusable filter of the same type. The Amazon listing shows a correct reusable filter *and* a wrong, 12-cup filter which will not fit the machine.The machine has no 2-hour automatic shutoff function, in spite of that being stated in the “From the manufacturer” section of the Amazon listing.No mention is made of the need to pivot the showerhead water nozzle arm toward the back of the machine in order to remove or install the filter basket, and that it must be swung back into its forward position for brewing.No manual is included in the package, but one can be downloaded from the manufacturer’s Web site, and the URL is included on the safety instructions included with the machine, but it doesn’t contain much more information than the safety sheet, and also omits the information described above.Brewing time isn’t stated anywhere that I could find, but a full 5 “cup” brew cycle takes about 7 minutes. Note that “cup” in coffee terms is roughly 5 ounces or 148 milliliters. That’s not just for this machine, but is pretty much universal for coffeemakers. This machine works perfectly for my wife’s favorite double-walled glass mug: allowing for the addition of sweetener, flavor syrup, and some liquid creamer, she gets two of her customary fills from one brew cycle of this machine.I feel that making the manual better and including it in the package would negate many of the negative reviews given here.Overall, though, the machine works well and is a good value for the price.

   After an older model’s heating plate started chipping I took it upon myself to try out other brands of drip coffee makers and it was a complete disaster. I don’t know if Mr. Coffee has some kinda patent that other companies have to work around but every other maker we bought made really awful watery coffee vs. our old Mr. Coffee. Finally bought this model and it feels good to be back. Does exactly what it’s supposed to do, makes great tasting coffee and doesn’t spill everywhere when you pour it. I don’t care if the heating plate chips this time, it was purely cosmetic. I’ll never buy another brand again, Mr. Coffee is it.

   This coffee maker is replacing a black+decker 5-cup coffee maker that i’ve had for a very long time. The old one was making weird sounds and was a little messy and hard to clean. It always made good coffee but I figured I’d try a different coffee maker.This one has a regular switch that can remain on all the time and so I’ve connected it to a smart plug that can auto turn off the coffee maker. So this will replace my old coffee maker.One of the more notable things about this Mr. Cofee coffee maker is that it has a stopper that prevents the coffee from continuing to drip if you pull the pot off. It does require an additional step of putting the hot water dripper over the coffee grounds but then it’s no big deal.

   This product is great, I have one, my mom was here visiting and she decided she like it too and wanted one for Christmas. What I don’t like is the fact that you can leave seller reviews for 3rd party sellers on amazon, but cannot review Amazon when fulfilled by Amazon. The unit I got was clearly sold and returned as the labels had been ripped from the box making it look very used. The unit itself didn’t appear to be used. Come on Amazon…this time of year you know it’s a gift. Arrange with Mr..Coffee distribution to have some spare boxes. Not worth the hassle to return, but will have mom test it asap to make sure it does work after she opens.

   I had a FlexBrew and loved the “drip to cup” and ability to use K-Cups or Ground. But it’s not without issues. I now wanted a SIMPLE coffee maker with a Coffee Pot, so I could make some Extra for the day, or to refrigerate for “Ice Coffee” later.This Fit exactly what I wanted. I used the Mr. Coffee grinder to ground my beans and use their 1 tsp per cup and it comes out perfect. I add a slight 1/8th inch overfill when measuring water because some does evaporate. Especially if I haven’t used it in a few Days.PROBLEMS:1. The Reusable filters you buy, Consider a few things… When I make 4 cups, it’s pretty consistent and perfect. BUTT… When I go to make 2 cups, it can come out very WEAK. See my image and you’ll see why. To fix this, I put something at the bottom, but I plan on purchasing a filter with the plastic, unfiltered bottom to try.2. Cleaning the Filter holder isn’t so easy because of the ribs. So I just took an old toothbrush, heated the neck below the bristles and bent it 90%. works perfect for scrubbing between the fins.Overall I love the price, simplicity and results. I honestly never had a better cup of home ground coffee than with this and it feels great not polluting the earth with K-Cups.

   So I wanted a no-frills, basic coffee maker. Kind of wished I’d paid just a little more honestly. There is no auto shut-off (so your carafe will sit there and burn if you don’t remember to switch it off), and the pause and pour feature doesn’t actually work. It’s supposed to, but nope… coffee keeps pouring out. It makes good coffee, but yeah, I’ll def be upgrading.
