I am a ‘2 cups a day’ tea drinker! Up ’til now my wife and I have used a stainless steel sauce pan to heat our water. It works but it’s a little clunky when attempting to dump the heated water into our cups! Can’t do that without spilling hot water all over the place! This nifty tea kettle solves that problem as well as keeps our water hot for an additional cup when we want one. I’ve not experienced any of the heat problems others have mentioned. The handle and spout both remain cool to the touch. The whistle takes a while to alert me that my tea is hot. But, by then it’s REALLY hot! Typically, I can hear the water boiling well before the whistle! Since I usually dump excess water out and not let it remain inside until I use it next, I haven’t had any scale or cleaning problems! The design allows me to conveniently pour hot water without spilling any. The handle can be ‘tipped over’ to the side so that I can fill the kettle without it being in the way. The handle is riveted, so I hope it remains firmly attached as long as I use the kettle! It’s lightweight (deceivingly so!) but appears to be strong enough to last over time (we’ll see!). And it looks good on my range top!

This pot heats up fast, and is easy to clean, the only issue I have is the handle is in the way of filling with water. If you fill from sink you may be able to fill ok, but I am unable to fill from my refrigerator spout. This is just a heads up to others thinking you can fill from frig door spout. I must fill with a measuring cup and itis kind of driving me crazy. UPDATE After using for a few months – I notice how hot the handle gets, have to use pot holder to pour hot water for tea. I will purchase again.

I have had this a week. I went back and checked the negative reviews. Those guys are barking mad. The kettle holds water while you heat it. It whistles when it is boiling. It allows you to poor water into something without spilling when you pour it. The lid flips up and down smoothly whistle/no whistle. Mine is a cheerful red color. What more do you want in a tea kettle? Oh and it does not cost very much… Is there a hidden negative? Maybe. It is slightly thinner than my previous pot. Maybe that makes it heat quicker? Maybe.

If you’re looking for a smallish tea pot and don’t want to spend too much on it, this is the one! And from a brand you know and trust.

It’s a decent pot that’s the perfect size however the handle is a bit too mobile. It’ll do the job just fine but the handle moves a lot

We use this every day. We are a family of tea lovers.

We like this little kettle. It was inexpensive and we expected it to be lightweight, we don’t mind. We’re very pleased with the shape and with the position of the spout, as our last had to be turned nearly upside-down to get all the water out, with the result that it burned me one day.I’ve read the negative reviews and wonder about quality control, but mine (the tall handled one with the “mirror polish” and the opener for the spout *not* in the handle) is sturdy enough, the handle is neither too loose nor too stiff, and gets warm, not hot – who wants to pick it up without a potholder anyway? Besides, it was inexpensive, so don’t expect to get a Le Creuset or Chantal kettle. One star off, as the whistle doesn’t – again, making me wonder about quality control. But at this price, we didn’t care what it sounded like.
