This little mug warmer works great for its intended purposes. I’m a person that LOVES her coffee either piping hot or ripping cold, but hates it luke-warm to room temperature.I drink an average of 3-4 mugs of coffee each morning and occasionally enjoy an afternoon coffee in the winter months. I am not a fan of re-heating my coffee in the microwave once it gets too cool because it gives the coffee a stale taste to me so this little purchase has saved me from pouring my cooling coffee down the drain.I can not attest to it’s overall safety features because I don’t use it enough. I turn it on only when I’m actively drinking a cup of coffee and turn it off as soon as I’ve taken my last sip then don’t turn it back on until I get a refill.Overall, I’m extremely happy with my purchase.

I bought this warmer more than a year ago. I work from home and use it every single day at my desk. I’m one of those people who takes a couple of hours to drink a cup of coffee, and it’s usually cold by the time I get to the end.As for the actual warming capabilities: the top of my coffee stays just at warm, while the bottom of the cup is hot. If you start with a very hot cup of coffee to begin with, it will stay hotter on top. I definitely recommend using a cup with a “normal” wide base (that fits on the warmer), vs. a taller tapered cup.Is it as good as an Ember? Well, I don’t have an Ember because I didn’t want to spend $150 to keep my coffee warm and then have to hand wash my coffee cup every day. This is worth the $11 (at the time I purchased it), for sure. It’s not fancy, but it does the job.

Gone are the days when I have to jump up and re-heat in the micro. Only two minor complaints – the temp is not adjustable but keeps the coffee at a very warm–not mildly hot setting. I would prefer slightly warmer but it’s fine. It’s nice that when I am distracted I can come back to a nice, warm sip. My 2nd complaint is about the finish. The warming plate is aluminum and is coated with a black paint. The paint began chipping immediately – annoying but doesn’t affect the performance. The cord is long enough to reach from the table to an adjacent outlet

I shopped around and read all reviews, I really wanted a warmer for my coffee cup. Being at my work gets really cold. Plus I didnβt want to buy an expensive one for the first time and I wanted to give this one a try. I have read all the reviews for this particular product and I knew buying this was going to be some type of flaw but I wanted this because a) price tag and b) first cup warmer. Brought this to work and using it now, set my coffee cup, check the plate (like others mentioned) and sure enough the black βpaintβ is chipping off. I havenβt dragged my coffee cup on it, I just set it down and took it off. Itβs nothing bad or hazardous but I knew buying this would happen, due to the other reviews. I bought the lid covers to help keep my cup warm being Iβm in an AC office. This definitely helps to keep it warmβ¦so thatβs awesome. Overall, I like this. It doesnβt turn off automatically, as expected which I plan on getting another one later when this one breaks. But good buy for my first warmer, I gAve it 4 stars because of the plate issue but thatβs the only flaw. Again, it was expected because of the other reviews but so far, my coffee is still hot – going 2 hours in.

Looking for something to keep my coffee hot enough to drink, I tried two mug warmers.1. Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer for Coffee and Tea, Portable Cup Warmer that uses 17 watts and has a burner size of 3 3/8 inches diameter. The on/off switch is a manual slider switch on the top of the warmer.2. Smart Coffee Warmer, BESTINNKITS Auto On/Off Gravity-induction Mug Warmer that uses 19 watts and has a burner size of 4 1/2 inches diameter. The warmer turns on when a ceramic, glass, or metal mug of sufficient weight is placed on the burner and turns off when it is removed. To see how they compared, I boiled water and made tea, then poured equal amounts of the tea into identical cups. I then placed one on each warmer, turned them on, and then used an infrared thermometer to check the temperature (in F) of each cup regularly for two hours. Room temperature during the test was 71F. Below are the results.Time elapsed / Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer temperature / Smart Coffee Warmer temperature0 min 154 15429 min 123 12764min 110 11595min 107 113110min 106 112120min 106 112Both warmers performed similarly, but it’s worth noting the Smart Coffee Warmer kept the tea 4 to 6 degrees warmer. Is the weight switch, larger burner, and slightly higher temperatures worth the extra cost? That likely depends on the person looking at these.

Yes, I put a cover on my cup to keep heat in- from amazon. Yes, the paint came off by itself during heating up..BUT OVERALL THIS BAD BOY KEEPS THE HEAT ON TILL THE LAST DROP…I would do away with the hot plate paint and keep it original-the heat on the plate is what matters. IT DELIVERS! I would make this product white or silver with keeping the hot plate original color to keep it to match and add a silicone topper for mugs…lol..just a thought for Mr. Coffee manufacturer…

I ordered this for obvious reasons, my coffee is always cold. This device helps but it only keeps my coffee luke warm. I was hoping it would keep it much hotter. As far as safety features go, I haven’t noticed any. When I have accidentally left it on, it is still on hours later when I remember it’s on. It is hot to the touch so we have to be careful with babies around.

Keeps your beverages warm, great cord length. Paint started flaking off during the first warming which was disappointing, and there’s no safety features, it was accidentally left on overnight.Overall I would recommend, my partner loved the temp it was maintaining.
