This waffle iron is fairly decent. It is smaller than I anticipated. So diameter of waffles is maybe 5-6 inches. Waffle thickness is roughly 1/4 inch. However if the batter is very thin, the waffles will be more thin as there is less resistance when lid is put down.If you like your waffles crispy, expect about 5+ min for one to cook. Otherwise, 3-4 min should cook it all the way. Also if you press the lid down when closing it, expect thinner waffles. I recommend just setting lid down without purposely applying pressure. It takes about 1/4 overflowing cup of batter to fill perfectly. If batter is quite thick, maybe add a tiny bit more as needed.I like how it is built for easy storage. It has a flat side you can set it on for storage and underneath there are 2 hooks near the sides where you can put the cord.There is a green and a red led light on top of the waffle iron. I have not checked the waffle after the light turns green to see if it is done as I want crispy waffles. It does not make any sounds either. So in my opinion the lights are almost useless, aside from telling you when it is initially heated up. There is not an overflow moat, if the batter spills over it will just leak out.Cleaning the waffle iron is an experience… All of the ridges make it difficult to get each crevice and it is time consuming to clean going through every crevice effectively. However this is to be expected with how it is made. Well, it doesn’t take super long but it Feels like it does. I take maybe up to 10 min at most with distractions, now that I have a method down. It’s not so horrible that I don’t want to use the waffle iron. Stuff does come off of it inside quite easily when cleaning, it’s just a matter of getting those crevices. I recommend cleaning it when the iron is still a bit warm. Then using a damp microfiber cloth or gentle thin soft sponge with hot water (a tiny bit of soap if desired, but probably go over it twice then, the second time without the soap), going through each row of ridges in each heart and cleaning all around as desired.There is not a latch in the handle of the waffle iron to keep it closed. However if stored on the side purposely flat for storage, and it doesn’t fall due to earthquake or other explainable reason, it will stay closed.I did also note that the cord was short. Not unreasonably so, but shorter than I anticipated.

Our old Belgian waffle maker was on its last legs, and this one looked intriguing. We love the design, it makes thinner waffles than the Belgian style that has taken over – but still use a similar amount of batter with thicker walls. It works good for the kids, it helps to limit the syrup to a normal level.We do also like the sides, so any spillover will cook up instead of flowing to the counter and getting everything goopy. The adjustable darkness setting is really nice as well, it will help when the kids try to cook with it.Very happy with the purchase, and I think we are planning on gifting another one or two this holiday.This is a review which I am being compensated for providing, but is not influencing my opinion.

I was looking at this waffle maker for a while as its one of few that doesn’t make thick Belgian style waffles. When I saw it on sale for Black Friday I had to try it out.Really simple design. Just plug it in and set the temperature. Waffles cook evenly and the non stick coating works without issue. We turned the temperature up to about 80% and cooked the waffles for 4-5 min each. I’m really happy for the price!

This does make some good waffles but I am concerned about how it will hold up over time. It was well priced and easy to use, a child could do.I wish the holes on the waffles themselves were bigger to hold the toppings. They didn’t have much of an indention at all. I believe the waffles would have tasted even better.

I was looking for a waffle maker that would make those thinner heart-shaped waffles. I was immediately impressed with the mich lighter weight than my previous waffle maker. The slider to adjust how light or dark each family member prefers their waffles is perfect. I slightly overfilled the last one but the cleaning was super easy. I love it. And waffles for breakfast tomorrow and with my afternoon coffee time today.

This is exactly what we were looking for after a neighbor treated us to Norwegian waffles for breakfast one day. Super easy to use, clean, and store. Is it big and metal? No, but the build quality does feel solid and reliable, and it’s light and small enough to store easily and bring out as needed. For the price, this has been an excellent value for us.
