I’m extremely happy with this Needone Humidor. I opened the shipping box, nothing was damaged and the humidor was nicely packaged. There was no plastic smell. And upon opening the glass door, I was met with a fragrant blast of cedar! I didn’t read much of the instructions, as I was planning on seasoning this with two Boveda 320 gram 72% humidity control packages, and I’ll leave them in, changing when needed. I set the temperature to 69 degrees, it took less than an hour to get there, and we’re in Florida. I’ve been seasoning for a week and oddly enough the analog humidity gauge/hydrometer is nearly accurate. I’ve been sitting at about 71 percent humidity for a few days on the digital hydrometer, and the analog reads 70% as I’m looking through the reflective glass with the lights on (haven’t opened it since seasoning started).I have not, and will not use the water tray. Before setup, I did run some box and stick placement tests, playing around with storage space when I first received it. Everything fit well inside. It held my 100-130 loose sticks easily plus two small boxes and an average sized box from my other humidors with plenty of extra room. I may be able to push 350-400 sticks into humidor!Overall, I’m very satisfied. One negative, the outer dimensions are nice, but the chassis is big and thick, so the internal dimensions suffer from the shell of the unit. Other than it’s a little big on the outside dimensions and the chassis, with the inside dimensions slightly suffering from the outer shell. While it isn’t a deal breaker, the boxes for longer cigars with big ring gauges may have to slide in sideways. Another positive is the temperature control. It’s easy and simple. The unit is not loud. And a little over a week in, it’s holding humidity nearly perfect while seasoning with the Boveda pouches. I feel there will be a long standing love relationship with this humidor!I’d recommend it, and any negatives strongly outweigh the positives. The Needone 300 count humidor is easy and virtually plug and play. Going the Boveda route, I have zero worries about putting my collection into this thing. It’ll hold the humidity and get better over time. And while I don’t trust the analog hydrometer, my digital gauge will be in there for the long haul even though the analog is only off one percent. Again, I’m satisfied and very happy with the purchase. (Side note: the unit is very reflective and pics don’t do it justice!)

I’ll tell you the limitations of this unit, I’ll give you details on the unit, then I’ll tell you why I’m keeping it. I haven’t had it long.I could tell what it was when I bought it, but I needed more space for cigars in a device that could maintain a consistent humidity. My desktop units were getting too dry. The NEEDONE turned out to be exactly what I thought it was, a mini fridge except it can only drop to 54 degrees. I have no idea why anyone would want their cigars at 54 degrees. Of course they don’t, this is just a cooler.-There is NO humidifier included. There is a small rectangular plastic tray cup to hold distilled water. That’s it. Humidification is up to you. Which seems ironic for an electric humidor in this price range-There are three cedar shelves, one with an analog hygrometer which is very accurate. The shelves are attractive and well built.-The interior of the unit is plastic. It has a plastic chemical smell. Not awful, but there. Cigars are sensitive to the environment. I donβt want my cigars tasting like plastic. I cleaned the interior. I let it air out for a day. I put baking soda in it for a day. Smell was still there. Looks like thatβs permanent.-I seasoned the wood as instructed. Iβm using distilled water in the tray with a natural sponge and a Boveda pack to get the humidity up to 70%. Humidity is VERY consistent. It seals tight like a minifridge. If you put new cigars or boxes in, it will have to adjust.-I want my cigars kept at 70 degrees. No matter what I set the thermostat to, the fan always runs and drops the unit to 64 degrees. Thatβs too cool. I must unplug the unit so it will warm up. If youβre keeping your cigars on the surface of the sun, this might be useful. Otherwise, unplugged, the unit is maintaining 70% humidity at 66 degrees in my basement. I now have $330 Igloo cooler downstairs disguised as a humidor.Iβm keeping it for now because I can fit at least 200 cigars in it with a couple of their boxes included. The humidity hasnβt changed. The desktop humidors do not hold more than 50 cigars and the cheaper ones will not maintain a consistent humidity. So then youβre looking at a larger model with a humidifier. Most humidors in the free standing range are well crafted beautiful pieces of furniture that include electric humidifiers. They cost a lot more than $300. Iβd rather spend that money on cigars. So this is overpriced for a cooler, but itβs cheaper than the big humidor models that hold the same number of cigars. I may eventually buy an Oasis to humidify this. If I smoke my first cigar from the NEEDONE and it tastes like plastic, Iβll update my review.UPDATE I’ve upped the stars to three. This unit runs two degrees colder than the room even turn up. It’s still just a mini fridge. I’ve decided it’s better to run a little cool than run hot and get beetles. It keeps humidity very stable. The first few cigars I smoked from this unit were in perfect condition and tasted great despite a slight plastic odor in the humidor, so I’ve increased my stars for the unit.

I’m pretty happy with this Humidor, sure does beat having multiple small ones like I used to. Temperature always good at 70, humidity ranges from 65-70, I’m good with that. The digital hygrometer that came with the humidor is always 10 degrees below my other hygrometer, which I know are pretty accurate. The light is kind of useless if you have cigars at the top, the cigars will just block the light. I would certainly buy again though, its a great gift for someone who has multiple small humidors to tend to

I have waited a while to purchase a humidor like this. I have been smoking cigars for 20 years and this is the perfect humidor. It keeps the temperature I set, around 70, all the time. I live in Phoenix, so it does not sit near a window and it works perfectly. I don’t use the dish that comes with it for humification. When I do, the humidity shoots way up. I use Boveda humidity packs and it keeps the humidity perfectly the same all the time. The digital gauge built into the shelf is pretty accurate. I use a separate hydrometer with temp and humidity. The only issue is there was tape residue on a shelf when I unpacked it. But with the door closed it is not noticeable. Update 11/29/22, the unit automatically raises the set temp to the highest setting and then beeps all the time. It will cool down, but the setting will not stay at the selected temp. While we are in winter and the temp in the unit is low and okay for cigars it has become very annoying with the constant beeping. I have reached out to the seller for a solution, hopefully I hear back…
