Useful, time saving gadget. Not a necessity for bakers but for those that are intimidated by the bread making process. It’s confusing to know when to kneed, when to rest, when to let rise.. this little gadget takes care of all of that. READ THE MANUAL. DO NOT for the love of god, DO NOT LOSE THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.Make sure you bake EMPTY for 10 minutes first go round, cause it does smell like burning plastic first time you turn this bad boy on.Choose what kind of bread you want to make, read the recipe in the manual, add the ingredients to the bread bucket, close the lid and then turn the dial to the appropriate program for the kind of bread you chose to make. It’s real easy once you read the manual. It took me a few times reading the manual to understand what to do so I went to youtube and watched someone do it and then it all became really clear and easy.TIP: program #19 is the straight bake program with no kneading which you will need for the first time 10 minutes empty bake. I didn’t realize this and did the “home made program” which was super confusing cause you have to program this and that and it sucked. Just letting you know program #19 is the first one you want to run EMPTY.

This bread maker is so easy to use that my husband has taken over baking the bread. It seems a bit confusing at first. But when we saw that all we had to do was follow the recipe in order and set the corresponding number on the machine, it became a no brainer Just Keep the Recipe Book With The Machine!!!

I have had this bread maker for over 6 months now after having an Oster for awhile. The greatest thing this machine has going for it is that it is beautiful – I get lots of compliments on how pretty it is. My bread machine recipe that I have been using for years works great in this machine, so no complaints there. But as another user pointed out, I do not understand how you could possibly make a 2 lb loaf in this machine, as my 1.5 lb loaf hits the glass on the lid. The loaf is very square – my Oster yielded a longer loaf, which I really appreciated. Probably my biggest complaint about this machine is that the lid does not come off, so when the glass gets crusty, I have to awkwardly put the machine on its back and let a damp rag sit on the glass for a few minutes to loosen up the crust and clean it off. If I left it upright and scraped it off, all of the crumbs would go into the chamber where the heating element is, which would not be great. This machine is usually about $50 more expensive than the Oster that I loved, and I do not think that it was worth that price difference. When this machine fails, I’ll get another Oster.
