Ramen is a big staple in my household. For this reason, I’m always looking for new ways to enjoy it so I wanted to give this a try. To be honest, I was pretty skeptical at first at how well it would be able to cook ramen in the microwave.I can say that I was very impressed at how well it did with that! The first time I used it, I did so with higher-quality ramen. I filled the strainer halfway up the ramen cube and microwaved it for 10 minutes. It came out well done and when I put the remaining water with the seasoning, it was saucy. The next time I tried with Top Ramen and lessened the time to 9 minutes with the water being a little above the ramen cube. It came out perfectly al dente with enough remainder water for a broth instead of a sauce. I haven’t had a chance to try it out with steaming veggies yet, but I’m excited to give it a try!

I hate microwaving Ramen (I’m a stovetop girl), so I thought I would give this a try. This is adorable. But also helpful. The handles don’t get hot so you can easily remove it from the microwave. And I took a picture of the front, but there is a little tail on the back that you can use to lift the lid without steam burning your hands. The red insert not only seems to help cook the noodles, but you can use it to drain if use just want noodles. Or you can just dump the noodles back into the water after cooking. I used this to cook 1 pack and 2 packs. Both ways turned out pretty good. I know when my (ramen obsessed) nieces and nephew come to visit, they are going to love using this to make lunch.

I purchased this set to make ramen in my room in cold wintertime since I’m too lazy to go kitchen when its temperature becomes blow 30F.So far, this set works well as advertised and I’m happy about it. It’s big enough to make two ramen at once (hey, admit it. we all do it sometime) or just make a single one. Either way, it works great. Strainer is big plus since I dump noodle boiled water and use another hot water for the soup. Instant ramen noodle is usually cheaply oil fried, so it would make it little bit healthier by dumping remaining oil, and soup tastes much clearer. The reason why it’s 4 star is, the top cover design flaw. It is supposed to be usable as a bowl. It can, however, it has holes inside of it (cat nose/mouth for the design). It could allow leaking soup from there, so you must be careful. Still, It’s not a deal breaker. As long as you are aware of it, you can handle it.

This thing is HUGE. I thought it would be smaller. It practically takes up my whole microwave. Would have been nice to have some microwave instructions too. It didn’t come with anything. I know the description says 3 minutes but it doesn’t tell you how much water to add or if the 3 minutes is for 1 pack of noodles or 2. My son has been making 2 packs to share with his sister and it takes 7 minutes to do 2 packs in it at once. I think he may be adding a little too much water but I have no idea. It’s not a bad buy, just one you need to research a little first.

I made one packet of ramen and there was plenty of room for more. I put my microwave on 6 minutes and it was a little too long, will adjust until they’re just right 🙂 This is the first time I’ve ever made ramen noodles in the microwave that I didn’t have to wipe down/clean the microwave after and it’s fabulous!! My teens grab them some ramen regularly and this is going to help so much with the mess!!! Also let me not forget the strainer piece!! We like just barely any water left in our noodles before we add seasonings/extras and this…this makes it so simple!! Strain your noodles and if you want some liquid just add it from what’s left in the cooking bowl-it’s perfect for everyone!!! This will definitely be a well used dish in our home

My daughter LOVES ramen and probably eats it at least once a day! She’s very hard-headed and independent and refused to let me help her strain her ramen or help in any way once I showed her how to make it originally. I was always so terrified she was going to end up burnt when straining it though! NO LONGER! She lit up so happy when I showed her her new ramen bowl because she loves cats almost as much as ramen so it was extra exciting. She raves and raves about how easy it is to use. I overheard her bragging about it to a friend on face time as well lol The plastic seems thin and fragile but we’ve accidentally dropped it on our tile floors 3 times now without any issue yet. I know one day it’s going to hit just right though and crack. The clear part doesn’t seem as sturdy as the red parts but so far no issues. It fits inside itself in the cabinet and takes up less room than I thought it would. Though I got this one for my review I will likely order her a second one for Christmas so that she has one when the other is in the dishwasher.

I ordered this to replace another ramen bowl of mine that has seen better days. First off, this bowl is quite large (much larger than the picture) and you’ll have no problem cooking two servings of ramen in it. It’s well constructed and seems very sturdy. I like the whimsical character design and it makes me smile every time I look at it. All and all, a nice ramen bowl.

I love this kitty ramen bowl! Everyone likes their ramen differently in my house. My daughter uses it in the microwave. I use boiling water from an electric kettle and let mine sit for a while. This bowl works for many styles of ramen making. It’s three pieces. The best part, to me, is how the strainer works. I get nervous with my kids dealing with pouring really hot water, and this bowl really reduces the risk of steam burns. You can lift the noodles out of the liquid if needed instead of having to pour the water out.My microwave is blazing hot, and it takes about 4 minutes to make ramen in the microwave with this bowl. I have a variety of ramen bowls and this is one of my favorites.Plus, it’s ridiculously cute.
