Been having this fryer for 2 weeks now and it has NOT rested yet. I LOVE IT & wonder how I’ve gone this long w/out one. Before I start bragging on this thing, I am by no way endorsed by Ninja or getting paid by them. I’ve owned a few Ninja products blenders and still have one that’s over 10 years old. They make quality machines. This fryer is a life & time saver…especially if you’re a lazy cook. I have been researching air fryers for the past few months and nothing comes close to the Ninja. The basket size isn’t the large 5+ quart capacity like the bigger fryers, (Ninja is only 4qt), but this thing cooks so fast you won’t miss the extra 1 qt. It comes w/ a crisper that works perfectly, a recipe book and a multi-layer rack. The first night I had it I made wings and I tell you that I will NEVER buy fried chicken again!!! Yes, they were that crispy and tasted much better. I bought the Louisiana fried chicken flour from Walmart, battered the wings, spritzed w/ a little olive oil and had fried chicken in 10 minutes. No greasy mess, no 3rd degree burns from hot oil, and your house doesn’t smell like a chicken joint for 4 days afterward. Because the Ninja uses a ceramic coating on their fryers the clean up is very easy. Next, I made sweet potato fries! Had a bag of frozen ones in the freezer and popped those babies in for 10 min. They were crispier than McDonald’s. I tried homemade fries but the procedure takes too long. You have to peel, slice, soak potatoes, dry them…I’m just ready to pop them in the fryer and eat! It has been nonstop air fryer cooking in this house! I hit youtube to get a few recipes and it’s been on ever since. What I like best about this fryer is it has a dehydrator feature and how fast it cooks. Frozen chicken wings? No problem! Throw them in the fryer for 10 minutes and they’re defrosted. I’ve cooked pizza, fries, wings, reheated food, fried zucchini, and tonight I baked a chocolate cake. Everything came out perfect! Next up is donuts! The only thing I don’t like about this fryer is 30 seconds after it finishes cooking it shuts off. I know this is a safety feature but I always have more items to cook. In 2 weeks, I have used my microwave twice, and that was to reheat coffee. Before I forget, I did cinnamon rolls too! I used the canned Pillsbury ones and it normally takes 20 min in the oven. In the Ninja? 8 minutes and that’s if you like them brown. I actually could have stopped it at 5 min and they would be perfect. My house smelled like a Cinnabon factory!? I have used every feature on this fryer except the dehydrator but I’ll be making beef jerky soon. Overall, I am VERY pleased! The best selling feature was the price & the size. The Ninja is much slimmer than some of the bulkier fryers and fits under my cabinet nicely. I’m also happy it only used 1500W unlike some of the larger fryers that burn 1800 which could kill your light bill. The outside of the fryer doesn’t get hot so you won’t have to worry about getting burned but do take caution when taking your food out. Is it loud? My exhaust fan on my stove is louder than the Ninja. The extension cord on it is long so you don’t have to worry about being limited on where you can place it. I think I’ve covered everything? This thing is THE BOMB! If you’re wondering what cookware you can use, just about anything you place in a microwave you can put in the Ninja. I went to the Dollar Tree and bought a few 7″ foil pans I use to reheat food & bake in. Also, grab you some silicone tongs while you’re there so you don’t scratch the surface of your fryer. This thing has been almost as good as a kid getting a new bike for Christmas. You will NOT be disappointed w/ this purchase. Happy & healthy cooking!

Made homemade Chicken Strips and frozen Tater Tots. Over cooked the chicken a bit and under cooked the tater tots. But I haven’t cooked homemade chicken strips in 28 years. I BBQ, heat, reheat or it comes out of a can or box. Even though I messed up both items they were still pretty good. I have paid good money for much worse food. Cleanup was too easy! That said, I looked under the top where the heating element and fan are. And I can see after many uses it might get dirty up there and I don’t see any way to clean it. But if I had to buy a new one every year or so at this price, I think it would still be a lot cheaper and better for me than what I have been eating. Try one. If I can do it. Anyone can. And if you don’t mind filth, you might get years of use out of it. I will update.UPDATE! Used it for about a month now. I still love it, but it takes on the smells of the foods you cook. No way to clean where the heating element or fan is. It is already turning brown up there. It smells for days after using it. And there are things that you can’t air fry. Or at least I haven’t figured out how. Like fried okra or think cut fish. It dries out way before it cooks fully. Try a fatty steak. You will love it!

Why didn’t I buy one of these sooner?! The Ninja AF101 Air Fryer is great for single servings so if you are looking to use this for family meals, I would keep looking for a larger option. I throw in 7-8 chicken wings and about a cup of brussel sprouts at the same time (which fills the tray) and VOILA! a meal in literally 12 minutes! Tater tots are >chefs kiss< crispy and only take 8 minutes! Easy to clean and I didn't have any issues with a plastic smell when I first used it like a few other reviewers. I thought I would have to remove the rubber covers on the feet of the tray that goes inside the tub, but they are not supposed to come off - no issues at all with a smell. Happy with this purchase.

Got this air fryer because of a Black Friday Wired Magazine recommendation, and I’m very glad to have it. I use the air frying function to cook frozen foods, from sweet-potato french fries thru to bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with three cheeses. Have multiple times dehydrated apples, which is a breeze to do. I particularly like the easy, no fuss, ability to pull out the basket to turn food over while cooking and to stir apple slices while dehydrating. Clean up is very quick and easy. I am surprised by how often I use this small appliance, use it far more than expected. It is easy to setup, use and clean, and the cooking results are always very good. Expect this appliance to last a long time and to always give great results.

I did not want an air fryer because I do not want to clutter my counters and my husband wanted it so I figured Iβll give it a shot. If we donβt like it we can always send it back right.Anyway, it is awesome. We have made steaks in there that look like they were grilled. We have made grilled chicken in there amazing tender juicy. We have made shrimp wrapped in bacon that was unbelievable and my husband loves it. He makes bacon in it all the time itβs easy to clean I donβt have a house filled with smoke from all the grilling on the stove. I donβt even have to turn my oven on as much anymore. It is wonderful best invention ever.

This is the first Air Fryer we have owned and I must say I’m really enjoying it. The size is perfect for just two people. I would recommend getting a larger one for a family. If it was me after using this one I would stick with a larger Ninja. One thing I have noticed is it generally cooks a little hotter when you set it on the recommended temperatures. It was recommended to cook chicken wings at 400 but if we do they are burnt. We reduced our temperature to 360 and they turn out great. We just set everything a little lower than recommended and it works perfectly.
