This arrived June 27. September 18th I found 2 cracks on the shoot. September 19th, I contacted Ninja and had a great experience once I was past the punch this number, say what you want, etc. messages. The tech person was very helpful and told me to return it and they would have a new one out in 3-5 days. I told him all I needed was the lid but he insisted I needed to return everything in exchange for a new machine. Turns out it’s a new model and they want the first one back so they can figure out why the problem happens and correct it. While we were still on the phone, he sent me emails with a return label, the order for the new machine, and the return order. At 9:47 p.m. I received an e-mail that the new machine had shipped by FedEx. I was expecting a request for photos/video, possibly some stalling and this is what I received. Can’t beat it!I’m really enjoying this machine. I use it for chopping nuts, onions, and garlic, and slicing/shredding vegetables. Mixed up a batch of blueberry muffins in it but prefer a mixer for that. Everything comes out beautifully. Best part is how easy it is to clean; just put in some water, a bit of dish detergent, pulse away, and rinse. Yes, it’s big and I have to store the bottom one place and the bowl another but that’s small inconvenience for what it does for me.Update: The replacement came this morning, less than 48 hours after calling Customer Service. I notice one difference in the base of the new machine over the first one: the feet on this new one stick to the counter much firmer than those on the first one. I’ll be building some biceps from removing it for storage.November 29, 2022 — I love this machine, but I’m not loving the life I’m getting out of the lid. Today I found a crack in the replacement lid received September 18. I am not hard on any of my kitchen appliances and treat them with care. This food processor gets used once or twice a week at most. I am puzzled as to why a second lid has cracked in the same location as one of the cracks on the first lid. Contacted Ninja and was connected with a woman whose English was, to say the least, difficult to understand. After almost half an hour of explaining the problem to her and eventually getting a link so she could see the part, I was told that a replacement lid would be $29 and something (couldn’t understand her) and that with postage it would come to $41 and something (again, couldn’t understand her). I provided credit card information and had to remind her that she needed my mailing address. At this point, I’m thinking I’ll need to factor in $41+ every couple of months for replacement lids. Need I say that prospect is not a happy one?Ninja definitely needs to do something about this lid and its short life expectancy! The food processor itself is great and I’d highly recommend it — if it didn’t need replacement lids every couple of months!

This processor comes really well packaged and even though it doesn’t mention it in the listing, it does come with a case to hold the accessories so don’t buy the case separately like I almost did. It runs very smoothly and isn’t too loud. It feels like it has a lot of power and will be able to do anything I need it to. I also like that it has little rubber feet (almost suction cup-like) that keep it from moving around the counter when it’s running. The two levels of the blade really make a huge difference in chopping and mixing things evenly and quickly. I was hesitant to go with Ninja rather than one of the more known food-processor brands (that’s I’ve previously owned) but am very happy that I did. For the price I just don’t think you can beat it.

Received and used first day. I couldnt be happier with this purchase. I am a 50 year Cuisinart user. I soured on Cuisinart when I could not get replacement parts for my 20 Cup professional DLX…they discontinued everything, so I “discontinued” them. After 50 plus years and they didnt care. But enough about them. I have been searching for a food processor ever since. What attracted me to Ninja was the capacity, the wattage of the motor and the price. I came to the conclusion that everyone uses plastic and the differences between the basic processor and the “super duper” model was negligible. I thought about how I have used my processor in the past and what was a deal breaker on the next one I was going to purchase. Chop, shred, slice, puree…good strong wattage, sturdy motor, decent bowl capacity. I eliminated brands one by one based on those metrics. (Cuisinart was not even considered due to past experience). I surprisingly kept coming back to Ninja. I decided on the BN601 model because it appeared to check all the boxes. I didnt want the cheapest and I did not want the most expensive….I already have one of those sitting dead in the pantry, thank you Cuisinart. I wanted to be able to move on to the next brand if the one I purchased didnt prove to be what I expected. So today it arrived, I washed it , assembled and made the creamiest hummus, in a matter of minutes. I am very very pleased If anything changes I will check back in with an update, but I dont expect that to happen. I feel I have made a great decision, it is a fantastic processor.

First of all, I really like the Shark/Ninja line of products. I have two blenders by Ninja and a kick butt vacuum cleaner (Shark) that puts my Dyson to shame. So, my complaint with this food processor (XL701) is not so much with the product but the marketing. When I ordered this item on Wednesday, I purposely bypassed the storage container based on the Q&A and customer reviews stating it is included. It is not! Amazon apparently tosses all Ninja food processor reviews into one. Strike one. Then, after washing and assembling the product I thought, “man, that’s a big bowl!. If I chop nuts in it, they’ll be flying everywhere”. A quick check of the manual shows they make an insert for smaller jobs-at an additional charge. So, here I am on day one of ownership discovering I have to drop another $40+ to obtain what I though I was getting. Strike two. And now I know why it was so much cheaper than BB&B. A cautionary tale folks-especially during the holiday season. There are a lot of look alike products from good manufacturers (like TV’s) that come out during the holidays but they delete things people think they won’t notice-all to win your money. Watch what you are buying-very closely. If this food processor is anything like my blenders, I’m sure it’ll live forever and do a fine job but I’m starting the experience feeling a bit taken by Amazon and Ninja.
