This blender definitely does the job and then more. I purchased this one to replace another brand we got 7 months ago. The latter got stuck and could not be washed properly. This blender is awesome so far, it is easy to assemble/ dissemble every morning. We usually hand wash every day after our smoothy breakfast and put in the dishwasher once in a while for a more thorough wash. Blends both soft and hard veggies – carrots, kale, spinach and fruit – apples, grapefruit, etc. I even once used it to shred cabbage and made a delicious slow, just stopped it before the cabbage got blended. The noise level is a bit on the higher end but it is an oversll great purchase and a reliable product.

At first I was skeptical about purchasing the Ninja blender based on the negative reviews, but at such an affordable price I took a chance. It didn’t disappoint at all! I have been making smoothies like a pro since purchasing it. Unlike the negative reviews, you CAN pour without the blades falling out (smh – just read the instructions, open the spout and pour, you’ll be fine). And cleaning is such a breeze. I haven’t tried washing in the dishwasher (yet) but that’s only because it rarely has any downtime. Yes, it is loud but I am fine with the noise-level knowing that it’s just THAT powerful. I highly recommend this blender to anyone that wants to make a VERY good smoothie or any frozen drink for that matter.

This was recommended to me by a friend for making smoothies. It is only loud if you put frozen things in it, bananas, ice cubes, etc. It has a few settings built in, and also several manual selections. The first time you put something frozen in it, be prepared when you push the GO buttons, it may surprise you. It is powerful and works well. You push the button you want, and it cycles and stops. If you want to stop it sooner, you push the same button again. When done, pop the three removeable parts in the dishwasher if you wish, or hand wash, but be careful, as the cutter blades are basically curved razors, and will even cut your dish cloth as you clean. I have had no issues with it in the dishwasher, but I don’t use the heated drying cycle, as I am aware that some plastics can break down a little sooner with heat, and my old dishwasher practically makes steam when it drys. Just sayin, your results may be different, but this is a much better machine than my old blender was.

Part of me getting healthier has been making smoothies every day — way easier to get all those nutrients down when they’re broken down into an ice cold slurry!I had been using a crappy old magic bullet for a few months until the motor gave out. Thank god it broke, because this Ninja blender is soooo much better. The auto-smoothie feature, the powerful blades, the always-smooth consistency. Wish the carafe was glass, but whatev, you can’t have everything. I’m sure there are other great blenders out there, but this one seems to have a great value/quality ratio. Hope I can continue making smoothies with this until I’m an old man

I use this machine in a commercial setting & swear it could grind rocks if needed (although I haven’t tried), vessel is a bit fragile if you drop it, so that’s on me…seems to turn off automatically if overstressed which is a nice feature, at this price point I don’t think there is much competition..

This blender / smoothie maker is the best I’ve tried so far I have tried to others one other name brand and another which is not well known and the Ninja blender has done a better job than both others and the price is very reasonable for what you get shipping was fast also

Excellent for smoothies. The blades are super sharp. When it’s time to clean, I rinse it out, put in a small about of dish detergent and a couple of cups of warm water, and with the blades in place, turn the blender on high for @30 seconds. Then lift the blades out and run under warm water. Swish the inside and top with a sponge and let air dry. Safest way to wash without hurting yourself.

Purchased to replace a broken blender. I decided on this product for making smoothies. It’s fast, makes great smoothies and easy to clean up. It’s a little noisy like most blenders, but because it makes smoothies so fast I can tolerate.
