An easy quick GO-TO in the kitchen without much fuss, EXCEPT… I believe the smaller Ninja may be better overall related to it’s heating elements.PROsIt’s a perfect kitchen gadget for quick meals that come up fast. The Pre-Heat is only 90 seconds fully automated & turns itself off once complete. So easy I’d say even safe for children to useCONsIt has the same amount of heating elements as the smaller Ninja, a total of 4 rated for 1800 watts. That works out to 450 watts per element. 2 up & 2 down. Due to it’s larger size food items like toast take longer than a traditional toaster. Not sure about the 10 in 1, 13 in 1 or what ever it is? This is a reference to redundancy, keep in ind I’ve only owned this about 3 weeks but have yet to figure out the difference between Air-Fry vs. Air-Roast to include several others. Various selections turn on either the Bottom heating elements, the Top heating elements, or both. The build in cyclonic fan in the back kicks on or stays off depending on which setting you select.I imagine it would be perfect if the Ninja had 3 elements both Top & Bottom, but due to it already pulling 1800 watts of Full Power if all burners are turned on, some homes may trip a Breaker on the Breaker Box.In short I like this machine, but I believe Ninja has pushed the limitations of its capability due to size. I believe the smaller All-In-One Smart Oven will live FULLY Up to performance. It is a good machine & i am happy with it.Like a Porsche 911 Turbo sharing the same engine with the SUV,

Received our Ninja Foodi DT251 a week ago. Started simple reheating Chinese leftovers. Much better than microwave that leaves things mushy or dried out, depending on the food. Toast function worked perfectly. During setup for toasting, you specify the number of slices and desired doneness. Next simultaneously air fried crab cakes and cauliflower florets (14 minutes at 370). Perfect browning with no burning as would happen with our dedicated (and now retired) air fryer. Simultaneous air fry of meat loaf squares and carrots also came out perfect with no burnt edges. We have started with the time/temperature we used for our previous air fryer and only had to make small adjustments (slightly longer times). In preparation for whole roasting Thanksgiving turkey, we roasted a whole 5 lb. chicken using the supplied meat thermometer. We used Manual mode so we could control the cooking temperature. The temperature sensor controls provide readouts of current meat temperature, target temperature, elapsed cooking time, and cooking temperature. We started with the settings from the supplied cookbook for roasting a whole chicken, which were 55 minutes at 375 oven temperature with target meat temperature of 165. Since the temperature will continue to rise during the 15 minute resting time, we set the target temperature to 160 instead of 165. The actual time to reach 160 was 58 minutes for 5 lb. chicken. Using a standard meat thermometer the internal temperature rose to 172 during the resting time, so next time we will set the target temperature to 155. The chicken was perfectly done and perfectly browned.Prior to purchase we noted several reviews indicating lettering coming off during use or cleaning. To alleviate this from happening, we use a Q-tip to adjust the controls. Another thing we saw mentioned in reviews was difficult clean-up, especially the roasting tray. We found that soaking for a couple hours in warm water and dishwashing liquid did the trip, allowing easy removal of the baked on drippings from the chicken using a soft sponge. Use of parchment paper on the pan below the roasting tray made the clean-up on the pan a snap.

This toaster oven is a winner! Well made, very large but fits in a relatively small space, high capacity and a really nice display panel on the door handle. One of the best features which I think is important is that the internal light comes on when you open the door. Why would the light shut off when you open the door? I don’t know but the others do. If you turn the light on while it’s cooking, the light will time out which is also very nice. It has a temperature probe that really helps get the internal meat temperature right on. It comes with a good assortment of trays and a roaster pan. After the cooking is done, an internal fan comes on to cool down the oven. I went through several other toaster ovens and kept returning them but this is a keeper.

I never review any item otherwise that is really good and this ninja required the good review. I baked the cake that came out very good, also I used the air fryer to make chicken breaded cutlet and sweet potato fries. they were very nice cooked and the outside of the chicken was crunchy and inside was very juicy. I really recommend this oven air fryer. The other positive regarding this Air fryer is that I just spray some oil and that was it ,instead of frying with lots of oil. I really love this Ninja oven air fryer.

It is more than a one-trick pony (i.e., air fryer only). It does so much more. It takes more room on my countertop than I’d like, but that’s the price I pay for needing fewer additional appliances (like a dehydrator, and a regular toaster oven that bakes, and a roaster). It is heavy, so you likely won’t be moving it often/at all once you place it. Follow all directions, especially cleaning it after EACH use, and not using olive oil while cooking. It’s fun to air fry things I’ve not thought of before (beets!). Super easy to use. Very good value. I’ve recommended to several friends.
