The media could not be loaded. Back story: I didn’t realize how much I’d taken for granted my prior blender, a beast from Farberware that could power through anything and had super solid construction…or so I thought. The jar collar cracked a couple of years ago, and when I tried to replace it, I learned the model had been discontinued and parts were not available. I looked for a replacement blender then, but I couldn’t find anything that seemed to fit the bill. So I used industrial epoxy and fixed the crack, and all was good for over a year.Alas, the inevitable occurred. The epoxy failed, and I had to consign the old Farberware to the landfill. (Actually, the garage, which is my appliance and electronics graveyard.) I started my search anew, but had a hard time finding a blender that would also play well with the other black-and-stainless gadgets on my pantry shelf. I ordered one anonymous monstrosity because of its looks and purported power, then immediately returned it when it left large shards of ice in my margarita (after having blown out my eardrums). (Note so self: no more unrated Amazon products.)I needed a blender. So I looked again and landed on this one, even though I was leery of the plastic pitcher. Y’all, this thing is giant! I’m usually making drinks or recipes for one. However, I performed the litmus test (hello, margarita), and even with one serving, this thing performed admirably. Plus, it came with a recipe book and a little brush thingie for the disgusting things the dishwasher might miss.I won’t lie; it’s loud. I wonder if that’s because of the plastic (vs. glass) pitcher. But my dog and I can hide while it’s working, because you pre-set it and go. It does all the speed-shifting magic for you, once you choose the setting. It remains to be seen how it does with anything other than margaritas or post-workout smoothies, but honestly, that’s all I’ve ever used a blender for anyway. This one has a dough hook though…and I’m a big sourdough snob…who knows? Hard to imagine consigning my whole rye sourdough starter to this chunk of plastic, but maybe I’ll try something more pedestrian.Meanwhile, can you tell I’m enjoying my margarita while I write this review?

I purchased Ninja Foodi SS201 Power Blender & Processor. 3-in-1 Crushing Blender, Dough Mixer, and Food Processor 1400WP smartTORQUE 6 Auto-iQ Presets. For the sole purpose of making smoothies so i can not comment on any other function. I it better to manually operate the speed of the blender my self instead of the Smoothie pre set function and i am very happy with how it works. Also makes extremely smooth peanut butter. I have used this about 5 times a week for 4 months. Today the screws that hold the base together failed because the suction cups that hold the base to the counter more powerful that the strength of the plastic housing. I have put it threw that stress every time i used it as i have to take it into the garage not to wake people up or disrupt activities in nearby rooms. it is quit loud and powerful. Process frozen foods with ease. The warranty process was simple. I scanned the qrl code on the machine and entered some info and then called them. A very polite and helpfull person walked me threw the process. Which was answering a few simple questions and accepting a vidio call to let them see the isue over the vidio to verify my claim. I was required to pay $20 Shipping of the replacement base which i was told would be 2-7 business day. Do i think i should have to pay the shipping? No. besides that the warranty processes was as it should be. I’m going to buy a small cheep plastic cutting board and dedicate it to being a platform for the suction cups to prevent it from happening again. They didnt ask for the old base, so i gues i have a back up now. hope this helps someone.

The media could not be loaded. Got the blender for Christmas and it broke in four months. Absolutely the biggest waste of money. So it has four suction cups on bottem. Tried to life it and the entire thing pulled apart. Be careful. Will update after I deal with the Warranty department of ninja.Update!: So I contacted Ninja/Shark and after a small eternity on hold I was connected with someone who was able to help. We did a video call and I explained what had happened. He said it wouldn’t be a problem since the blender was only four months old. I did have to pay $22.usd to have the new blender base shipped to me. It arrived and a few smoothies later im pleased. In conclusion I highly recommend getting any extended warranty with this. Or be very careful when using or cleaning around it. It’s a good blender for the price. I’m still only giving it four stars because this should of never happened. Really a strong 3.5. Ps sorry for my terrible Grammer.

EDIT: after an easy process of registering my blender via Shark/Ninja’s website, my product was still under warranty. I spoke with an employee that was super helpful and within 3 days I had a brand new base, free of charge. My blender base broke only a couple months after I bought it. I don’t over use this blender, maybe a few times a month. I initially really loved this blender but I’m just super frustrated by this base breaking apart. I feel like for the price of the blender, this flaw should be worked out. I hand wash this blender with each use and treat it well, just normal blending and the base is coming apart.. I’m hoping to glue it back together somehow.

This works great for making smoothies, which is mainly why we purchased this. The built in safety feature that only allows you to turn on the blender when the lid is snapped closed is awesome. No more accidental splatters all over the kitchen! Its quite powerful and the operation is very easy to understand. The biggest drawback to me is the noise level. It literally sounds like a freight train is coming through when the blender is on! It was a big shock at first considering most blenders are loud but this one just caught me by surprise. Had to take off 1 star for that. But for the price and performance, no complaints.
