   Edit 12/7/22: I use my blender exclusively for frozen smoothies and to make hummus. IF this is your intent, Do Not Buy This Blender. This issue is you need the crush and/or smoothie function initially, so you can’t just use the non-stop blend functionality. The timing of the “crush” or even “smoothie” feature is not long enough at any point. Once it finally “catches” what it needs to keep running smoothly, it stops and then doesn’t catch again without you intervening. In blenders past, this short cycle was ideal because the food would then fall back into the blades for the next cycle, but this blender’s cycles are so short and it just doesn’t happen for some reason. And I know you’re thinking, “put more liquid in.” Of course, I do. But I’ve been making the same smoothies and hummus for 25 years and there is no reason, when every other Ninja I’ve had was fantastic, that this more expensive blender should work so poorly. I pound on the top while it’s going, hoping the food will settle or have to stop it every 20 seconds or less to shake the cup so things move. I’m not spending money on another blender, but I seriously, seriously dislike this one!I had 2 Ninja blenders (1 full size and one with food processor/smoothie attachments) die at the same time after many years. Their motors had gotten incredibly loud by the time one of them started smoking. I always loved their power and was pleased with all the reviews I’d read on this model. I didn’t expect this to be quiet, but I was surprised by just how loud this was. It is much louder than I remember the old ones when they were new. I had to put my hands over my ears. The pre-programmed buttons don’t do as well of a job as my last (the starts and stops are for different lengths of time that don’t seem to be as effective. I need to run another 60 seconds on “on”) and the suction isn’t nearly as good. My last was hard to remove from the counter and this one barely sticks. Having said all that, it blends my frozen smoothies well overall and was very cost effective compared to the Vitamix I was considering. Of course, I will keep it.

   “No need to ask it’s a Smooth Operator!” Whenever or not you catch my reference to the ’80s song by Sade or not – this is a smoothie lover’s dream.I mainly use this Ninja to make fruit smoothies for my family. So far (it’s nearing winter, even in Florida) I’ve only used frozen strawberries and frozen peaches. I like to use whole milk for the base, a couple teaspoons of sugar and 4 droplets of pure vanilla extract along with 3 handfuls of strawberries or peaches. I bought the model with the highest wattage (1100, I believe) and it came with 2 extremely easy to clean 24oz cups, 2 very secure lids with snap-tight covers and a very sturdy mixing, crushing, chopping blade – which is also a breeze to clean.I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m sure ICE would be no match for the Ninja’s powerful motor and chopping, crushing, mixing blades. “Wastin’ away again in Margaritaville” quickly comes into my mind’s ear.The controls are very easy to use, intuitive and clearly labeled for 1-touch operation. It also has a calming light blue LED display that counts down the seconds until your drink of choice is ready.This is clearly an example of “you get what you pay for” or “you pay for what you get”. That’s 3 musical references in one review, that’s pretty smooth!Bottom line: no regrets, only high praise! Save everyone from waiting for their best home-made smoothie and smash that “Buy it Now!” button.

   This handy little blender purifier is amazing in every way. I own several other Ninja products, and they have always served me well. The simplicity as well as the solid construction stand out. Reading the reviews before purchasing, I did have some initial hesitation which made me look at several other competitor’s similar product, but after reading their reviews, I came back and purchased this Ninja, and I’m so glad I did. The adult size sippy cups are amazing, the way they seal assures you from leaking issues. The real challenge, as would be with any similar product, is figuring out the proportions of product to stuff inside, as well what level to fill the cup so you’re not stuck with an overflowing thick mess. I would start out by leaving at least 2 inches of space in the cup prior to it’s first grind. After a few possibly failed attempts, you start to get the hang of it and never look back. Always put the ice/frozen fruits/nuts/last in the cup so the hardest items are the first thing to hit the blades.

   I had to buy a lot of new small appliances recently and decided to get the smallest number of the smallest-sized appliances that would meet all my needs. I didn’t want to have a full-size blender AND a full-size food processor taking up space on my kitchen shelves. So I bought this because most of what I do with a blender is make smoothies and blend soup (which can be done with a stick blender). I had a big Vitamix blender before, and this is just as fast, just as easy, and just as good. Cleans like a dream, and I like the suction cups on the bottom. It is pretty loud, can’t deny that, but when I only have to blend for 15-20 seconds, even with frozen ingredients, I can handle it.

   I already had a Blendjet 2 to make my fruit smoothies; but, it wasn’t holding a charge for very long, nor was it blending as well as I wanted it. I saw the good reviews for the Ninja and decided to try it. I really like the way it blends the frozen fruit and doesn’t clog up the blade like the smaller blender. Also, it’s very easy to hit the smoothie button again to make it even more blended. I really like that this blender plugs into an outlet unlike the other that you have to charge. I highly recommend!

   I got the Ninja to mix up powdered protein drinks. Works great for this purpose. Might work great for frozen fruit smoothies but the cup is fairly small so I am not certain of that. The unit has plenty of power for the powdered smoothie. I have not had any leaks during processing. I don’t consider this unit to be any more noisy than other blenders of this type/size.
